Annual Holiday Event


Our annual Holiday Event was held on December 19th at the Miami Shores Country Club.  It was a beautiful day for golf.  Two person teams played best ball and the winners were: 
1st - Maggie Tawil and Jackie Cox with net 62
2nd - Carey Allen and Cheryl Porter with net 63
3rd - Pat Vanderklaauw and Lale Divringi with net 66

Following, we had lunch and many prizes/raffle gifts were awarded.  A special raffle was held with tickets given for food donations and/or toys.  Lale Divringi won a stocking filled with $100 worth of lottery tickets.  The toys were taken by Rosa, Stephen and Deanne of the Awareness into Action for their Community Holiday party to benefit children in need.  The food/cash donations were taken to the Burton Memorial United Methodist Church in Tavernier, Fl.  All donations were greatly appreciated!  The 50/50 cash drawing was won by Lynn Carlson.  And the prize for the best holiday socks was awarded to Sally Whitton.  We were happy to welcome our newest member, also - Helen Hui-Chou
