The LPGA Amateurs is run by a team of dedicated volunteers dedicated to our mission of connecting women to learn, play and enjoy golf. We believe that we have many capable and willing members who have the skills, talent, and desire to lead our Chapter. If you are keen and collaborative or are looking to expand your abilities by joining a board – we welcome you to apply for the open positions on our 2026 Board of Directors.
Your Barrie Chapter Board of Directors is responsible for planning and executing our weekly league and special golf events, promoting member skill development, creating social opportunities and growing our membership. We also have a lot of fun along the way. This is your opportunity to shape our Chapter by nominating yourself or someone else for a Leadership position.
Open Board Positions
The Board positions are set up in staggered rotation which prevents the entire Board from turning over in the same year. The following positions are scheduled for election for 2026 - 2027:
Treasurer: 2-year term
League Coordinator: 2-year term
Secretary: 2-year term
Role Responsibilities:
Treasurer · Filing of required Chapter Minimum Standards with LPGA HQ · Work with Chapter Board to prepare annual budget and monitor compliance to budget during the year. · Provide quarterly financial reporting updates to the Chapter Board · Maintain Chapter bank account and accounting book or record · Prepare annual fiscal reports · Attend Chapter Board meetings and assist with planning of events. 2026-2027
Secretary · Attend and document all Board meetings minutes · Distribute meeting minutes to all Board members and maintain Chapter electronic file repository. 2026-2027
League
Coordinator · Manage weekly league communication and registration (via Golf Genius registration system) · Coordinate with local golf courses to ensure accurate player roster. · Attend Board meetings, assist with planning Chapter events. 2026-2027
Board Meeting Time Commitment
The Barrie Board executive meets monthly from January to April, for about one hour, to complete the Chapter league play/events plan, as well as financial budget for the upcoming season. From May until September the board will meet bi-weekly or as needed to execute the planned calendar of events.

To be considered for the Board positions or to suggest someone else for the Board, please complete the Board Nomination Form by Tuesday, September 12, 2025.
Elections
The election for Board positions will take place at our Annual General Meeting to be scheduled in October.
