2023 Tournament Eligibility Requirements for Los Angeles Chapter Team Play events
    • Must be a member in good standing as of January 1, 2023
    • Must have played in at least four (4) LA Chapter events by July 22, 2023, for Western Regional Cup Qualifier and by September 9, 2023, for Cal Cup (PMS Cup TBD)

    • Must have previous match play experience with the Los Angeles Chapter
    • If there are more interested players than spots available, the team will be chosen based on previous experience and success in match play and participation in LPGA Amateurs LA events. Handicap indexes will be considered but will not be the sole criteria for selection to the team.
    • For the Western Regional Cup Qualifier, the Captain/Co-Captain will pick the team from a list of interested Chapter members as follows:
      • Six (6) based on published criteria
      • One (1) Captain’s picks from remaining list of interested players
      • One (1) random draw from remaining list of interested players
    • For The Cal Cup, the Captain/Co-Captain will pick the team from a list of interested Chapter members as follows:

    • Addt’l for Western Regional Cup Qualifier – willingness to move onto finals which often requires significant travel (Birmingham AL, Oct 20-21); if someone isn’t interested, it doesn’t exclude them but could be a factor considered by the Captain/Co-Captain when picking the team

  • Chapter Cancellation Policy
Please consider events to be a "go" unless specifically cancelled via email. In the event of rain, registered players will be notified by email the night before and day of. Updates will also be posted on the Chapter's Facebook page. Golf courses hold us to our contract unless the golf course closes and, as you know golf courses in Southern California rarely close due to rain.

We do understand that life sometimes gets in the way of golf.
    • If you cancel more than ten (10) days prior to the event, a refund will be provided, minus a handling fee of $5.
    • If you cancel ten (10) days or less prior to the event, there will be no refund as by this time, we are contractually committed to the golf course and would have made full payment.
    • If you cancel less than 10 days prior to the event and we are able to move someone from the waitlist into your spot, a refund will be provided, minus a handling fee of $5.
Waitlisted players will have priority when filling spots. If there is no waitlist, you may look for a replacement player and if you do find one, they must register and pay via Golf Genius, and be confirmed for the event before any refund will be made to you.

The local championship qualifier, national events, weekend getaways, and other special events may be subject to other refund policies, and will be specified within the event notification.

  • In the COVID-19 era
    Before Our Events . . .

Participation in LPGA Amateurs Chapter events is strictly voluntary and is a personal decision. Members are encouraged to review and follow national, state and local recommendations.

If after registration, you do not feel well or suspect that you may have been exposed to COVID-19, out of an abundance of caution and in consideration of your fellow members, please stay home.

As long as any golf course is under city/county emergency orders related to COVID-19, we will waive associated fees and issue refunds for those who must cancel due to changing health and safety concerns. In these cases, we kindly ask our members to give as much notice as possible, and to allow sufficient and reasonable processing time for refunds. Please contact Deb Olson for any cancellations after registration.
