How hot is Brevard County in August? If June was any indication, it will be super HOT. But we still want to play golf, right? So, we have set up a 4-person scramble format to help us out this month. Join us at the lovely Spessard Holland Golf Course in Melbourne Beach. Spessard Holland is a shorter than average golf course, a Par 67 with only one Par 5, located between the beach and the river. It is well-suited for lasting thru 18 holes during the heat of summer. We will play a normal net play 4-person scramble event with prizes for low net and CTPs. You must have a handicap in GHIN to compete for low net. Max handicap for net prizes will be set at 34 for the course handicap. We will have a max of double par on each hole, just in case you run into big trouble! Please, no pairing requests, as I’d like to mix up the groups. Non-members are welcome to play and can register independently. If they are your guest, I will put you together. The pro shop will be offering our group a discount for most purchases, and we will meet up for lunch and scoring in the grill afterwards.Registration Fees: $45 per player/member, $50 per player/guest. Includes round and cart. Please plan to bring $10 cash for prizes the day of the event. DetailsSaturday, September 19, 2026Shotgun starting at 830a2-person teams, flightedJoin us for our September 19 event at The Great Outdoors Golf Club in Titusville, Florida. If you've never played this course, you don't want to miss it! And if you have played here, you will probably be excited to play again. It is a very well-maintained course, with lots of wildlife and plenty of old Florida natural areas.The format will be a 2-person better ball team. Each person will play their own ball from tee box through finishing the hole. Then your team will take the better of the two players’ scores for net and for gross. This will be set up as a flighted event, so please no pairing requests. We will also be giving a single prize for the most fairways hit with your drive plus Par3 GIRs.
