Orange Hills
Saturday Morning League 2019

Greetings,

Here is information about our Saturday morning 9-hole league at Orange Hills Golf Club.  We are happy to start our sixth year here at Orange Hills, and would be very pleased to have you join us. We are a league made up of women with diverse backgrounds and skills, both on and off the course, who are just a group of “Sisters with Swing” who love playing this wonderful game of golf.

We are excited about the league and will work to make each week fun, friendly and interactive with varying formats throughout the season, however, if you have ideas or suggestions, we will be interested in hearing them.

We will kick off the season with our first round of play on Saturday, April 27th. The season scheduled dates are below, with tee times from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. You will note that the season is broken into (4) sessions. Prior to each session, we will send out a signup notice. You do not have to play in every session and you can sign up for the dates that work for you. You must register so that we may reserve your spot with the course.  You will pay the course directly when you arrive to play. If you find that you cannot play on a Saturday that you have signed up for, please let us know so that we can adjust our reservation and numbers with the golf course.

Session I - 4/27,5/4,5/11,5/18 and 5/25
Session 2 - 6/8,6/15,6/22,6/29 and 7/6
Session 3 - 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10 and 8/17
Session 4 - 8/31, 9/7, 9/14. 9/21 and 9/28

Fees - $23.00 (walking). A cart is an additional $8.00 and is optional. First tee time is 10:00 a.m. (Please arrive, ready to play 15 minutes prior)

Here are a few things to remember this season:

  • Check in with Coordinators (Pat or Donna) &/or Starter before going to the first Tee.
  • In the event of bad weather, contact the golf course. If the course is open, we will play.
  • Please advise League Coordinators if you cannot play by 5:00PM on Thursday before play. Also, advise if you have arranged for a substitute. Substitutes must be LPGA AGA members.
  • League members are encouraged to establish & maintain their handicap. To play in the League Championship you will be required to have a handicap to participate. Go to www.lpgaamateursfairfieldct.com to sign in, register & post your scores. If you have a handicap from playing in another league, you may present your handicap card and use that handicap for tournament play.

After the cold winter, we are looking forward to enjoying good golf and good fun. Judy and the Orange Hills staff are eager to have us back and promise that Orange Hills will have available good food and Margarita’s or other refreshing beverages for after play.

Again welcome and we “Sisters with Swing” look forward to playing with you. We will be sending a league sign up form and information about our upcoming Chapter Kick-off.
