Welcome to the 2025 LPGA Poconos Chapter League League play starts April 16! An 18-hole championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus This is a casual 9-hole league with a social and competitive arm. The league is open to all abilities. Players can play in either arm (competitively or purely social). Played at Great Bear Golf Course on Wednesday evenings with T-Times starting at 4:40pm to 5:45pm. Round sign-ups can be found on the League Portal. Sign up at a time that works for you. We will be implementing random foursomes (or threesomes) when possible. New Members who sign up for a 2025 membership year will receive two group clinic golf lessons at the Great Bear Golf Club. Date and time to be determined. Thereafter, individual golf lessons will be available. Please contact the Pro Shop to schedule additional lessons. We welcome new golfers and invite them to play Scramble on a weekly basis. As a scramble player, you are allowed to move your ball appropriately to the best position of anyone in your group. This is to maintain pace of play and enable new golfers to move along the course. Golf is a difficult game, and we do not want anyone to get frustrated with their shots. This is meant to be fun, make friends and learn the game. This is a “Ready Golf” league. "Ready Golf" means thinking ahead so that you are ready to play when it is your turn. "Ready Golf" applies everywhere - on tees, fairways and on the greens. Teeing Off: The player with the honors should be ready to hit first. If the player with the honors is not ready, then someone else should hit first. On the fairways estimate your distance, determine if you or someone else can hit and select your club of choice or two clubs if unsure.
