The LPGA Amateur Golf Association announced the winners of the 2022 Women on Par (WOP) Scholarship. Originally established in 2007, the scholarship provides financial assistance for three to four, “non-traditional” female students, over the age of 30, pursuing higher education for the first time, with the intention of helping women get “on par” with their peers through the opportunities a college degree provides.
Jill Rackley (veteran), Julie Jeffers (Native American and tribal preservation student), Victoria Sterling (first responder), and Amber Cimburek (mental health advocate) join the over 27 women who have been awarded the scholarship, earning $4,000, $2,000, $1000, and $500 respectively to help them achieve their career goals. Winners are selected based on need, personal and professional goals, and their personal stories. On the Member Meeting the Association announced the 2023 Member Celebration. The event will be held on April 20-23, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino / Angel Park Golf Course.
