We are back in business and just finished a successful event at the World Golf Village in June.

Based on feedback collected from our members, we have revised this year's schedule and will not have a daytime event in July and August because of the heat.  Instead, we will be hosting a Wednesday Nine & Dine League at Deercreek Country Club.  Details are listed below:

Dates:      Wednesdays July 15, 22, 29 and August 5, 12 and 19
Time:        4:30 p.m.
Cost:         $29.44 including tax
Place:        Deercreek Country Club
                  7816 McLaurin Road, N.
                  Entrance off Southside Blvd
Proshop:    904-363-1507

Single carts will be provided.  Masks are required upon entering the clubhouse.
Dinner is available for purchase.  Credit cards or cash will be accepted.  Masks are required when entering the restaurant but can be removed when seated.  If eating outside, no mask is required.

Cutoff for reservations is Tuesday at 3 p.m. the day before play.  Call the ProShop for tee times.  State that you are requesting a tee time for LPGA AGA Nine & Dine on Wednesday.

This is a gated community so reservations must be made prior to play.  You name will be submitted to the front gate by the ProShop Staff.

For further information or assistance call/text/email Deb Fritz.

The First Coast, FL chapter of the Ladies Professional Golf Association was chartered in 1995 as part of The Executive Women's Golf League.  From the first meeting of 25 women, our local chapter has experienced steady growth and currently has over 130 members. Charter members who remain active today include Amy Hooe and Margaret Downey.

In 2018 the EWGA became a part of the Ladies Professional Golf Association and was rebranded as the LPGA Amateur Golf Association.  Our chapter also changed its name from the Jacksonville Chapter to the First Coast, FL Chapter to more accurately reflect the geographic area of our membership.

The First Coast Chapter provides an environment that encourages women to learn to play and enjoy the game of golf. The Chapter offers members numerous opportunities to learn the basics of the game through player development programs at local golf courses, mentoring for novice players, and rules seminars. In recent years the Chapter has sponsored more than 50 events and activities annually for members and their guests. While many of these offerings are strictly golf-related (monthly tournaments, weekly leagues, etc.), there are also many opportunities for both business and social networking. The Chapter has earned the coveted Chapter of Excellence Award several times over the years as recognition of the quality and variety of services provided to its members.

The First Coast Chapter also proudly supports both local and national charities. Our local LPGA-USGA Girls Golf has received support through fundraising efforts and mentorship of young girls.

The First Coast Chapter of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association is a volunteer managed organization. It is an excellent avenue for meeting new friends, entertaining clients and guests, and learning a game that one truly can play for a lifetime.  We provide a venue for women of all skill levels to get together to have fun. The First Coast Chapter is where great friendships are made.

Great review by Jean Jackson, Director of Member Services:
"I attended the March Chipping and Pitching clinic LPGA AGA First Coast offered through the PGA Tour Academy at World Golf Village. The Pro/ Instructor was Rhonda Ferguson and she was fabulous. Her instructions were clear and she explained the mechanics of the shot in a non-threatening way while helping those, like me, that did not get it the first time.

I enjoyed the clinic and liked Rhonda so much I scheduled a 9-hole playing lesson. It was an outstanding experience. We started on the range then moved to the course. Rhonda made a few adjustments, and I was hitting the ball longer on drives and more accurate with irons.

The next two rounds I played were so much more enjoyable! Not every shot is perfect, however, I feel more confident and look forward  to playing and working on my game.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
