Stages of the LPGA Amateurs Championship
* The LCQ is an 18-hole local qualifying round held at The Quarry at Crystal Springs, June 8 (meeting of all competitors at 12:30 pm before tee times start at 1:00 pm)
* The Sectional Championship Qualifier is an 18-hole round held at Cherokee Ridge in Union Grove Al, July 27
* The Championship Finals is a two-day, 36-hole event held at The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, Rancho Mirage, CA, October 11-12

The LCQ Championship offers two different competitive formats: Stroke Play Competition and Inter-Chapter Team Scramble Competition. You select the competitive format that best fits your game, personality and skill level.

STROKE PLAY COMPETITION
Stroke play competitors play in one of five flights at the LCQ event based upon their USGA Handicap Index.
Flight Handicap Range:
Championship: 0.0 to 10.0
First: 10.1 to 17.0
Second: 17.1 to 24.0
Third: 24.1 to 32.0
Fourth: 32.1 to 40.4

First place low gross and first place low net winners in each of the flights will qualify to advance to the next stage of the competition (but are not required to do so).

TEAM SCRAMBLE
Chapter scramble teams consist of four (4) women who meet the eligibility requirements to play in the LCQ. The team "handicap factor" is established based on the USGA Handicap Index of all four players.

1st and 2nd place winning teams are eligible to advance to the next level of the competition (but are not required to do so).

TO QUALIFY, MEMBERS MUST:
* Follow the registration guidelines distributed by the local Chapter
* Be a female, LPGA Amateurs member in good standing
* Have a verifiable USGA Handicap Index and have an equivalent of two 18-hole scores posted to your handicap record in the current year, prior to the handicap cut-off date of May 15 (for the LCQ).
* Be an amateur golfer as defined by USGA Rules of Amateur Status

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association St. Louis Chapter, founded in 1999, is one of many LPGA Amateur Golf Association chapters across the nation (and around the world).  Our mission is to provide opportunities for women to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life.  To this end, our chapter sponsors several evening leagues, open weekend play dates, and networking and social events. We are also a proud sponsor of First Tee of Greater St. Louis, locally, and, through HQ, we support national organizations whose missions are to improve women's lives through golf.  I am proud to say that here in St. Louis, we have a diverse membership any way you look at it.

HQ organizes our annual regional stroke play and team match play national  tournaments.  These tournaments are all flighted by handicap, so even novices can feel like a pro!  They also interact with the PGA and the golf industry to provide information and buying opportunities to our members.  HQ also makes it easy to find a group to play golf with when you are traveling or relocating.

All of this doesn't happen without drawing on the abilities of our members and the annual dues we pay.  Locally and nationally we rely on members to fill various boards and committees, host an event here, make a phone call there.  Want to learn how to maintain a website?  Join our communications committee.  Want to organize a golf event?  Join our events committee.  You get the idea!  I like to say that an LPGA Amateurs St. Louis Chapter membership can help build your game, your resume and your circle of friends! Have I piqued your interest?

Check out this website where we have lots of information on our leagues, playdates, tournaments and more.

You can join LPGA Amateur Golf Association and check out our benefits at https://lpgaamateurs.com/memberships/

Not sure about joining?  Try us out by attending one or two of our many social events and golf outings.  Our biggest annual event is the Spring Kick-Off in April. There you will enjoy lunch, a silent auction, various vendors, gather information on spring clinics to prepare for one of our leagues and then wrap up the day with 9-holes of golf. Check out the upcoming events and playdates on this website. You are welcome to attend 2 events before becoming a member.  Ready to join now? Click Here

We look forward to seeing you on the golf course soon!
