LEARN GOLF ETIQUETTE & HOW TO START PLAYING GOLF

Are you intimidated or embarrassed to play golf? Do you feel like you're not ready to play because you don't know what to do on the course? Do you think you need to be better to play? THIS IS FOR YOU!

Let us take you on a journey from bag drop to course, providing the knowledge and know-how to prepare you to play golf without fear!

This informative gathering is about golf etiquette and how to navigate the course with confidence. You will learn with other women who want to belong to a community of beginner golfers and learn how to enjoy the game. You don't have to be great to play, nor do you have to keep score or compete against anyone.

If you want to get outdoors, enjoy nature, and meet others like you who want to learn and play golf but need help knowing where to start, join us for a wonderful adventure.

This is a 2-ball team scramble, a season-long program backed by Jack Nicholas, and the LPGA Amateurs Myrtle Beach has a team. It looks like this:

9-HOLE, 2-Player Team Scramble - A regional tournament, qualifying virtually!

Playing for a season from April to September. The minimum number of rounds to qualify is (6) 9 holes or (3) 18 holes. Recording scores for every 9 holes played, but you can play 18 and record scores for the font 9 and the back 9 - that's two scores! Flighted by a team handicap - handicaps are acquired after your first round.

NOTE: It is best to have a higher handicap paired with a low to average handicap player, but you can partner with anyone.

We will have designated play days for this, OR you and your teammate can play anytime in the Just-4-Fun division on our Tuesday and Wednesday league Days or 9-hole Play Days. This is up to you and your partner. Scores are entered into the DoublesGolf website after each round is completed.

The cost to join is $25. This covers team handicapping and the electronic scoreboard system. The goal and End Result are to qualify to play in the Regional Event here in Myrtle Beach, which is also flighted within your division.

IMPORTANT: Register ONLY under the Women's Divisions 59 and under, regardless of your age. If you register under the Senior Division, you will be put up against men, which is a larger division with more competition. The women's division is much smaller.

Registration fee: $25.00/person. 1 player has to pay for both players.

Team Entry Affiliation:  LPGA AM MB

Division: Women's Division - 59 and under, regardless of age.

Registration includes a Doubles Golf ID & rating with access to Golf Genius for digital scorecards and live leaderboards throughout the season.

August 26 - 30

• Play four rounds of golf at a different course each day in a gender, age, handicapped flighted, individual stroke play tournament (handicaps up to 40.4)
• OR the Just For Fun Division, where anything goes, with one exception...you must have fun!
• Prizes you can win:  Nearly 70 flights paying out the top 5 in each flight & various on-course contests means over $100,000 to be given away!
• Earlybird entry (by March 21st) SAVES YOU $130 on your entry fee, AND you will be entered into a random drawing for prizes worth $10,000
• Gift Bag worth $300 for all participants
• Welcome Party Sunday, August 25th, from 6-9pm at the Hangout in Broadway at the Beach. The party will feature live music, games, food and fun.
  
• More than $30,000 worth of randomly drawn prizes will be given away to nearly 400 participants. This means you can win even if you didn't play your best on the course. 
  
• Daily on-course contests for each flight - Longest Drive, Closest to the Line, Closest to the Pin. Winners for Low Net and Low Gross every day
• Each night, you and a GUEST will PARTY at the WORLDS LARGEST 19TH HOLE at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center
  • Free Food & Booze: Different area restaurants are featured each night, and the sponsor is Ketel One, among other yummy libations
  • Domino's Pizza & Friendly's Ice Cream every night 
  • Vendor Trade Show: Golf equipment, apparel, accessories etc, etc
  • Chipping Contest and Putting Contest
  • Flight standings on the big screen
  • Music: Live Bands and Dancing in the Ball Room
  • Pool Exhibition with the famous Striking Viking - Ewa Laurance
• LASTLY: Win or tie your flight, and you go on to play the fifth day against all flight winners. You will play the championship round and be crowned the 2024 World Champion
• So much more going on here than you can imagine - you have to experience it to believe it!
