MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

Membership Chairwomen

Be part of our leadership team in overseeing our Membership Committee.

This dynamic leader will help women join our chapter and guide them on their journey to finding the right programs that suit their level of play. Their integration is crucial to determining where they will thrive in golf and socially within our chapter.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Be engaging with new and existing members.
• Advise a team of mentors who will help women new to the game learn etiquette and navigate the course.
• Send welcome emails and be an advisor to new members.
• Assign a mentor to those who are new to the game.
• Send an updated chapter membership roster to the Golf Events Committee weekly.
• Help promote the LPGA Ams Myrtle Beach Chapter to area golf courses and golf services.
• Be uplifting and approachable.

Mentors - (NEW) Positions - (4) OPEN

Become a golf mentor and help women new to the game navigate the course from start to finish.

Duties include:

• Engage with women who are new and need a little guidance.
• Play with them once (9 holes) to show them the ropes: pace of play, navigation and etiquette.
• Check-in with your students occasionally to see how they are progressing.
• Shooting low scores is not necessary, but you must play often and have good golf knowledge. 
• Must have patience, show kindness, and be available to answer questions.

Communications Chairwoman

This leadership position has many facets on a communications level to help our chapter thrive.

Duties include:

• Create an engaging newsletter to inform our members of all that is happening in our LPGA Ams community.
• Work directly with the chapter president to ensure all info is properly displayed for branding purposes.
• Possess an openness to accept ideas and willing to work with our team of leaders.
• Must be present and engage with members at events to help communicate information and new programs.
• Social media: Facebook and Instagram posts daily
  
• Attend monthly meetings to brainstorm ideas to help make our chapter more fabulous.
• Have excellent writing skills and the ability to write and convey messages clearly.
• Possess leadership qualities and have the capacity to make informed decisions.

Weekday 9-hole casual events will be held between Hwy 501 and Pawleys Island's south end.

• Book 3 tee times for 12 ladies after 3 pm at various courses once a week
• Communicate and manage groups for the day
• Play golf, represent the LPGA Amateurs Myrtle Beach at the course, and help promote new members.

Social Committee Members (2 positions)

• Create fun, social events with the Social Events Chairwoman
• Assist with duties to set up social events on and off the course.
• Themed golf events - Holiday Socials, Golf Trips, etc.

Rules Committee

• Monitors USGA new rules and communicates any changes to the
  Officers of this Chapter
• Prepares educational handouts about rules
• Present topics in micro-workshops on Educational Days
• Provide updates for the website with rule changes
