Chapter News and Announcements
  • photo-chelseyDear LPGA Amateur Golf Association Members and Friends,

Nothing like living in Kentucky where it can be three degrees with a wind chill of 17 below one day and five days later it is 70 degrees and sunny!  Gotta love it!

This year will be the last year the LPGA Amateur Golf Association will be offering a free handicap service as a member benefit.  This eliminates the confusion with members who were maintaining multiple handicaps.

The member benefit of accessing a handicap through Golf Net will remain intact through 2019 for ALL current and new members. Beginning January 1, 2020, the handicap benefit through LPGA Amateurs will be eliminated. ALL members will be responsible for obtaining a handicap through their State and Regional Golf Association or through a third party, such as Golf Net.

Members joining or renewing mid-year during 2019 will receive the Golf Net benefit for just the remaining months left in the year and not for a 12-month period as was the case in the past.

Example: If a Member joins or renews on July 1, 2019 - that Member will receive the benefit for a total of six months with the benefit ending December 31, 2019.

The handicap benefit will remain on the Web site and will be included in all benefit communications BUT will be marked with a disclaimer noting that the benefit will officially end December 31, 2019.

We are getting ready for the 2019 Golf Season with our Annual Kick-off scheduled for March 28.  Details are the Events and News sections of this Web site..
