    Dear Members and Friends:
I have enjoyed meeting so many of you that have joined the LPGA Amateur Golf Association. There are now over 12,000 members nationwide and 67 right here in our Chapter!

It has been nice to see such a diverse group of ladies sharing the love of golf while networking and building friendships that will last forever. Our chapter has grown significantly in 2021 with many looking for ways to socialize, some to learn the game of golf while others looking to improve their golf skills. We have opportunities to satisfy all of those needs and hope you are taking full advantage of your memberships.

We have our first big social event, Corner Café, coming up and I hope to see everyone there; it will be a fun evening. Our 18 hole golf has some great courses lined up for June as well and I hope you will make some time to play some elite courses through this connection.

Hopefully the rain will allow us back out to playing a little more this week and enjoying the game of golf with some wonderful ladies.

    Have fun ladies!

Louisville Regions Virtual Scramble Team Finishes in Top Third

PAR_TEE IN KentucKEE_Team PhotoLPGA Amateurs held it's first Virtual Scramble from August 28 - September 13. Scramble teams were able to play a local course of their choosing during the event time frame.

The LPGA Amateurs Louisville Region team of Debbie Brown, Belinda Gates, Carol Ormay and Bobbie Ramsey finished tied for 31st after all the cards had been submitted. The team named, PAR/TEE in KentucKEE, had a net score of 57 at Covered Bridge. Almost 200 teams participated in this first-ever event.
Congratulations to two teams representing our near neighbors to the north. Two teams from the Cincinnati Chapter tied for second place and were finally ranked second and third in a scorecard playoff. These teams were BSW (Alice Hoctor, Tracy Spencer, Allison Mayborg and Patricia Weber) and Cincy Crushers (Terri Campbell, Brandy Del Favero, Carol Neckel and Bobbi Ridder).
Net proceeds of the event went to the LPGA Foundation - Women on Par Scholarship and Renee Powell Grant Fund. The event raised over $56,000. This event was such a success, the LPGA Amateur Golf Association plans additional virtual play events.
