Handicap Opportunity

Many of you are aware that beginning 1/1/2023, LPGA Amateurs required each Chapter and/or golfer to find their own handicap system. As a result, many of you may have obtained an official USGA handicap with The Sanctuary. We would like to provide you with different options for the upcoming golf season. The Canton Chapter is working with the Cleveland Chapter to help provide access to a handicap with a discounted group rate. In 2023, The Cleveland Chapter established a handicap club with the Northern Ohio Golf Association (NOGA). This provides an easy option for our members to maintain an official USGA Handicap through the Golf Handicap Index Network (GHIN). Please note that a GHIN handicap is not the same as your league handicap. A GHIN handicap is reflective of your golfing ability overall, your league handicap is only indicative of your play at that one course during league play. 

Note:  A handicap is NOT required to participate in many of the non-competitive golf activities offered through our chapter, such as many of the weekly league-night games, golf clinics and weekend travel golf. You can be a member and play in our Chapter without a handicap. However, there are events offered locally, by LPGA Amateurs on a national level that require a GHIN handicap, also the Canton SCWAGA event.  

YOU MUST BE 2024 LPGA CHAPTER MEMBER to take advantage of the group rate. Establish or renew using the Cleveland/ Canton Chapters handicap club official GHIN handicap via NOGA from 4/1/24 through 3/31/25. You may take advantage of the convenience and discounted pricing of the handicap system offered through the Canton Chapter. The 2024 discounted fee is $35.10 for the season.
