Match Play Westchester vs: NNJ imageLPGA Amateurs - Westchester offers a variety of playing opportunities for all levels of golfers - from the New Golfer through the serious Competitor.    No matter your level of play, there is an event that is just right for you.   So sign up for some friendly competition or play just to have fun!

Here is a sampling of some of the events on our calendar this year:

  • Mentored Beginner Scrambles are ideal for new golfers who want to play with other beginners in a friendly environment to get comfortable with being out on the golf course.  These events are held throughout the season at a variety of local courses and an experienced mentor joins each group for a fun Scramble round.
  • Weekend Open Play Days provide you with the flexibility to play golf when it fits your schedule.  These events are held on weekends throughout the season at a variety of local golf courses: Richter Park, West Point, Mansion Ridge, Links at Unionvale, Centennial, Apple Greens just to name a few!
  • Nine & Wine - Our monthly Nine & Wine series offers Friday night 9-hole rounds in a team scramble or individual stroke play format in a fun, non-stressful atmosphere.

  • Charity Golf Outing - each year, the Chapter organizes a golf outing to raise money for a local charity.  Guests, family, and friends are all welcome to join us for a great day of golf, prizes, a silent auction, and more!
  • Inter-Chapter Match Play is a fun way to meet and compete in friendly Match Play events against women from other LPGA Amateurs Chapters.   Our team of Westchester members compete against teams from other chapters or local golf clubs in the tri-state area for prizes and for bragging rights.
  • Sound Cup is a team match play event that pits LPGA Amateurs Long Island against a joint Westchester/Fairfield team in a long-standing rivalry.
  • Presidents Cup is a Ryder Cup style competition where two of our Westchester Chapter past Presidents sign up to captain a team of 12-14 women in a 27-hole match play competition.
  • Local Championship Qualifier  - Now in its 24th year, the LPGA Amateurs Championship is the largest women's amateur golf tournament of its kind with more than 2,400 members participating.  With 5 flights of Stroke Play Competition and Scramble formats, this competitive event appeals to members of all skill levels. Your first step in qualifying starts at the Local Championship Qualifiers then moves on to 15 Regional semi-finals. Finalists will then move on to compete in the national LPGA Amateur Golf Association Championship. The 2019 Championship Finals will be played at The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, Rancho Mirage, CA on October 11th and 12th.

We also have plenty of social events planned throughout the year.   For more information on all of our events and to register, visit our LPGA Amateurs Westchester event calendar.
