Pine Ridge Country Club was founded as a private club and was the home course to Arnold Palmer during his three-year hitch in the U.S. Coast Guard during the late 1940s.  In 1996 Lake Metroparks invested over $500,000 to return the course to its original form and improve cart paths and landscaping.  An additional $1.6 million invested in the clubhouse and pro shop have given Pine Ridge excellent facilities.
The course has practice putting and chipping facilities.
