LOCAL RULES

Our Chapter board of directors has adopted three local rules that apply to our Chapter events.  Full details of each rule  are available on the USGA Rules website or by clicking the links below to the USGA Rules App.  Printed cards with summaries are also available at our events.

• Alternative to Stroke and Distance for Lost Ball or Ball Out of Bounds (Model Local Rule E-5)
• Immovable Obstruction Close to Putting Green (e.g. Sprinkler Head) (Model Local Rule F-5)
• Additional Relief from Animal Droppings: Animal droppings are loose impediments and may be removed under Rule 15.1.  If your ball is in the general area (i.e. not in a bunker or penalty area) and you cannot move the droppings without causing your ball to move, you may mark, lift, clean and replace your ball without penalty under Model Local Rule E-2.
