Scholarship Recipients - 2026

Spokane-area high school girls are the recipients of our Chapter's official scholarship program. "Play More Golf Scholarship" has a mission of "Moving young women from the range to the course.” This year’s winners are tenth and eleventh grade students and just so happen to all attend Ferris High School. They each have different golf skill levels, but they all have the desire to play more golf outside of the school program, to improve their skills and to enhance their relationships with the people with whom they have the golfing experience. We will invite each girl to golf with our Chapter at least once during the season, so we can get better acquainted and they can enjoy the camaraderie of golfing with other ladies.

LILA OLSON

Lila is a sophomore at Ferris Highschool. During her freshman year, she was the alternate for many Varsity matches. She recently received the “Best Newcomer” award on her team. One of her favorite places to play is at Latah with her older sister when she is home from college. Lila hopes to play golf at the college level. She says she loves the game and it gives
her chances to meet new people. She hopes that golf will be part of her life forever not

only competitively but also to spend time with my friends and family.

MAHINA KROPFF

Mahina is a Junior at Ferris high school. She started on the team last Spring and
continued to play throughout the summer. In the future, she hopes to continue to have
fun playing golf with family and friends. Mahina is hoping that this scholarship will help her
to improve her game and give her more opportunities to make new friends as she plays.

THEA WEVERS

Thea is a Sophomore at Ferris Highschool. She joined the team last year and loved it and continued to play throughout the summer. She also loves playing golf with her family and friends. Thea is hoping that by having this scholarship will allow her to practice more often to perfect her swing.   In the future she plans on stating her own business and hopes that golf could be a fun way to get to know other business partners.
