Open positions that need volunteers:

Open Play – Open Play consists of in-season play for the maximum of eight people (two foursomes) each weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, at various courses in the NYC geographic area. Before the season begins, Chapter members are asked to volunteer to cover one or more weekends for which they will select the courses and schedule tee times for eight players on each day, manage and cancellations by contacting the course the day before play. The Chair for Open Play receives the logistical information from the volunteers and creates an e-mail to the Chapter to go out every Monday morning to alert members of the upcoming Open Play courses and to indicate their interest in playing.

Inter-Chapter Play
– These events are competitions with other chapters (last year we played Westchester). The chapters take turns organizing the events. This year, it is the NYC Chapter’s turn to host Westchester. The Chair for this event will pick the event date, course, and – in consultation with the other chapter – select the play format, e.g., match play. There is a list for our chapter of past competitors but anyone in the chapter can be invited. To socialize after the event, it may be followed by a meal that players who choose to participate can pay for themselves. The Co-Chair can assist the Chair in organizing the event(s).
