Nancy Suto - Golf Events & Programs Director – 2 Year Term
To Recently Joined - New Members,
Hello, my Name is Nancy Suto, the Golf and Events Director-Volunteer of our local chapter. A little background on myself; I joined the LPGA AGA formally EWGA in 2013. Originally from Pittsburgh, now a full time resident of Palm Beach. My initial intent in joining the LPGA AGA was for fun, friendship, exercise and to better my golf game.
In 2013, I almost immediately was recruited to volunteer as one of the Directors. I have held the position of President 2 1/4 years, Golf and Event Director 2 years and Communications Director/Committee 4 years. Just recently, I was anointed (said in jest), "again" (wink) Golf and Event Director.
Now it’s your turn, 1st welcome to our chapter. 2nd, I know you may have met me, but if you would so kindly introduce yourself with some basic questions below and then eventually I will meet you on the 19th hole.
* Years trying (wink) to play golf?
* Are you a transplant from the north?
* Why did you join?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Nancy Boulter - Finance & Records Director – 2 Year Term
Nancy is a very happily retired healthcare administrator with most of her professional career taking place in northern Ohio prior to her move to sunny south Florida in 2007. Meeting her now husband at their 30th high school reunion, they flipped a coin and decided to raise their combined 5 children together where the snow does not fly. Her hobbies outside of golf include restoring old discarded furniture to its natural beauty, gardening and anything that has to do with being out of doors.
"Having the opportunity to golf year round with a great group of diverse women has really opened doors to new friendships, new opportunities and a wonderful sense of camaraderie amongst women who want only the best for each other.
I have a sound background in business/management and understand the budgeting and various finance processes. I have also been involved in my past work experience with recording minutes for various boards and the importance of timely, accurate and brief but
inclusive record-keeping. I am interested in becoming more involved with LPGA - Amateur Golf Association activities."
Mabel Santiago - Membership Director - 2 Year Term
I’m Mabel Santiago; I live in Boynton Beach with my wife Evelyn and our cat Bella. I worked for 31 years with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in several departments. I retired one year ago.
I joined EWGA of Westchester in New York, March 2015, and it was the very first time I played golf and have been an active golfer ever since. I moved to Florida in July 2017, and transferred my membership to LPGA Women Who Play of Palm Beach County and have met a circle of women golfers that I love playing and socializing with.
I am very active in my community, I belong to the Landscaping committee and I also belong to the Community Office Patrol (COP).
As your new Membership Recruitment Director, I will work hard to continue growing our membership.
I would also like to start a beginner’s Golf outing on Sundays. If interested or know someone that is please contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
I am looking forward on working with my fellow Board members and of course ALL the Members of LGPA-Palm Beach.
Leslie Garcia-Furey - Communications & Marketing Director
I am privileged to be a volunteer for our Palm Beach Country LPGA Amateurs! I originated in Hawaii and moved to New York, then on the New Jersey where we maintain a summer home, and have been a Florida resident 12 years past. I am married to a wonderful loyal man for the past 19 years. We have two Pekingese Poodles, Moses and Sheba who are my life line.
I worked in the corporate arena for 25+ years, then retired along side my husband in 2005. I went back to school in 2005, to establish my entrepreneurial-ship as an Event Planner/Coordinator. As of now I am a freelancer and give back to my community as a volunteer at various local organizations.
I took up the game of golf in the summer of 2016, and became a member of this wonderful group of amateurs in August 2017, when we were branded the EWGA (Executive Women's Golf Association). As your Communications & Marketing Director, I enjoy working behind the scenes and sharing with you all the latest and greatest news on local and regional golf events and other pertinent information. It is hands on for me!
