All Chapter activities are managed by members who serve as volunteers in various positions, including Officers, Directors and Committees encompassing membership, leagues, marketing & communications, sponsors, events, handicaps, and Golf Genius support, etc.
In preparation for the 2024 season, we are actively looking to recruit additional volunteers to assist in various positions and activities, as listed below:
Reach out to lpgaamateurstampabay@gmail.com with any questions you may have, or directly to Lisa Stamm at golfeventslpgaamateurstampabay@gmail.com, or Kelly McKay at kellylmrh@gmail.com.
If you would like to nominate yourself, or another member, who you think might be interested we would love to hear from you. Most volunteer positions are appointed, but in the event, we have multiple candidates for the Officer or Director positions, we will set up elections. The 2024 Board will run from November 1st, 2023 to October 31st, 2024.
Research has shown that there are many benefits to volunteering within your community; this is a great way to connect and increase your social network within the Tampa Bay Chapter.

Membership within the Tampa Bay Chapter of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association continues to grow, and now exceeds 300 members! This is due in part to the activities and services we can offer to our membership, thanks to the support and efforts of all of our sponsors and volunteers.
36% of our current membership are members who have joined within the last 18 months. We hope new members will bring some fresh perspectives to our operations while still upholding the values and mission of the Association. We would love to hear from you with any ideas or concerns you may have.
The Association maintains and enforces a policy that prohibits discrimination against any member because of race, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, career choice or golf ability, or other category protected by federal, state, or local law. The Association expects all members to conduct themselves in accordance with the Association Diversity Statement and the Association Core Values. The Association will not tolerate discrimination or harassment of its members. To do so violates the law and the Association policy.

Burr! The event began with a chilly start, but the competition, and weather, quickly heated up. A round of applause for all the participants, our gracious course host, The Eagles Golf Club, volunteers and event organizers. Without the support of you all this event would not have been possible. The course provided a challenge to all, and the clubhouse provided a wonderful luncheon with a comfortable social atmosphere where players enjoyed mingling. It was wonderful to place names with many new member faces! Welcome to the Tampa Bay Chapter.

As we come to the end of the year 2022, I look back upon the many rounds of golf played, putts made, and friendships found. In case you haven’t realized, I just luv this game!
Upon further reflection to the year 2022, our Chapter traveled from Marion County, to Citrus County, to Polk County and on to Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas County and down to Manatee County…..we definitely took advantage of some great golf courses our state has to offer.
Westchase Golf Club, Cove Cay, Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club and Saddlebrook Resort Golf Club rounded out our monthly golf experiences. And we can’t forget our Mystery Trip up to Juliette Falls Golf Course! It’s been an exciting year for our Chapter.
The fun of gathering together, growing friendships and experiencing the game of golf for our LPGA Amateur Tampa Bay Chapter couldn’t have been possible without our sponsors. From alcohol to fitness, from financial networking to travel, we thank them for their yearly support. So a big THANK YOU goes out to LPL Financial, La Cava, Jacobson, and Goodis, AIX, St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, Maestro Dobel, Full Torque Fitness, Muscle Activation of Tampa and Women’s Golf & Travel.
As I finalize our year in review, I’d also like to thank the Tampa Bay Chapter Board of Directors who put in tremendous amounts of hours; used their talents and resources to be able to offer you monthly events. Whether it was a play date or a competitive event, they strived to provide you an experience you will remember for many years to come. Kelly McKay for her marketing skills, Lynn Cronin for her accounting skills, Karen Duffy for growing our membership, Kim Byle and Carol Klay for their behind the scenes work with the Golf Genius software program. And to Shirley Brown, our President, for her management style, golf knowledge and experience.
So with one final SWING, goodbye to 2022 and with the first PUTT of the New Year, hello 2023!!!!
