 Meet Our New President

Jean Jackson
Jean Jackson20

After 33 years in Boston I found myself in Jacksonville, FL in the fall of 2013 as a result of a job opportunity for me and my husband.  As I knew no one except my husband and coworkers in Banking; I felt the need to be connected to my new home. I thought golf would be a great way to meet new friends and have some fun, too. I did not have a handicap or belong to a club. My golf experience in New England was playing in charity events during my career as a Commercial Lender. I Googled female pro/golf lessons and was fortunate to take a lesson from Mary Hafeman. She encouraged me to join (EWGA) now LPGA Amateurs and the rest is history.

As a member since February 2014, I have enjoyed meeting so many wonderful women and working on my game. After two years on the Board of Directors in Member Services, I am honored to be this year’s First Coast Chapter President. My goals are to continue to offer great programs and education along with fostering and building friendships. Golf is a wonderful sport and way of life that crosses many boundaries that will only sustain its continued growth.
