Meet & Greet Scramble and BBQ - April 28th

Join us at Lake Isle Country Club for our opening golf event of 2019 - the Meet & Greet Scramble and BBQ!   

This is a great opportunity to meet new friends or connect with old to play some golf and to learn about the events, clinics and leagues we have planned for 2019.  All LPGA Amateur Westchester members of ALL playing levels are encouraged to attend. You can also sign up a friend to play - show them what membership in LPGA Amateurs has to offer!  Registration is now open!

The April and May golf clinics are now open for registration!   Whether you are a new or beginner golfer wanting to learn the fundamentals or are an experienced golfer looking to shake off the rust from the winter or brush up on your skills, we've got a clinic for you!   • Anne-Marie Brillantes was presented with the Outstanding Service Award at the 2019 Tee Off Luncheon for going "above and beyond" with her years of volunteer service to our Chapter.    This award recognizes a Westchester Chapter member who represents the “best of the best”: a dedicated supporter, active volunteer, advocate, and mentor.    

    Thank you Anne for everything you've done for the Chapter!  
  • The Rules of Golf have changed!   If you are new golf and want to learn the basic rules or if you are you a seasoned golfer who wants to see what is new this year, check out the USGA Rules Hub to explore the rules of golf in a fun way!

  • Congratulations to Mary Sue Snyder, the winner of the LPGA Amateurs - Westchester 2018 Most Valuable Player award!

    Mary Sue participated in almost every golf event that our Chapter had to offer in 2018.  She competed in the Sound Cup, Presidents Cup, the Scramble Invitational and all of our Inter-Chapter Match Play events and was a "super-sub" for the Westchester Hills Competitive League.   Her Scramble team came in first place at the 2018 Chapter Championship at Mansion Ridge and went on to represent the chapter at the Championship Regionals.  She also competed in the 2018 LPGA Amateurs Cup where her team, the Westchester Natural Hazards, advanced to the finals in Horseshoe Bay, TX.   

    Congratulations Mary Sue, and thanks for your support of the Chapter!  
Association News and Announcements
  • The Women on Par Scholarship Program has officially launched for 2019! This year we have narrowed our focus in order to have a more direct impact on our members and their family’s lives. We’re excited to announce we have changed the eligibility requirements to only LPGA Amateur members, daughters and granddaughters of members.   • New Chapter Sites have launched. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to launch their new Chapter sites!
  • The LPGA Women’s Network has launched their new podcast “Talk Birdie to Me.”  Hosted by former LPGA Tour player turned journalist Anya Alvarez, this podcast is the first of its kind and is dedicated to sharing conversations centered around women's golf and the issues you care about most.  Click here to listen to the first episode featuring Cheyenne Woods and Shasta Averyhardt who share their thoughts on diversity and representation in golf.
