    Virtual Teams Meeting
    Details This SPECIAL MEETING of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association, Greater Toronto Area Chapter has been called to discuss the options for a restructuring of the Ontario based chapters, and to determine which model best suits the GTA Chapter.     Virtual Teams Meeting
    Details Save the date! The Chapter's Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 4th. While it would be great to see everyone in person, we do respect that the pandemic is still active so this will be a virtual meeting, via Teams. Registration Deadline: November 2, 2021, 7pm Please register through the Event Portal at the link below. All documents, including the AGM Proxy Form and Election Nomination Form can be found in the Document section on the Event site.

Chapter News and Announcements

    The Chapter will be holding elections for the Board of Directors at the upcoming AGM in early November.  If you've ever thought you'd like a hand in guiding the direction and development of the GTA Chapter, then now's your chance to get involved. 

    The following Board positions will be up for election:
    • Vice-President
    • Communications & Marketing Director
    • Membership Director
    • Player Development Director

    If you'd like to know more about any of these roles, please see the Key Duties document or contact any of the current Board members.

    On Sunday, September 12th, the Ontario Championship took place at Richmond Hill Golf Club, with 15 of our GTA members participating. All of our members should be commended as they were challenged by a demanding back nine, especially the tricky par 5, 18th hole.

    Also a special thank you to Bonnie T., Karen S. and Bev H. for giving up their time to volunteer at this event. 

    On August 28th the GTA chapter held its first 2 person Better Ball competition at the Caledon Country Club. With 32 competitors, including members from our own chapter and guests from York-Simcoe and Durham, the women faced the challenges of Caledon’s varied terrain including the monstrous par 5, 547 yard signature hole.

This unique event raised over $56,000 in 2020 and with your participation, together we can raise even more this year! Gather your team to play in this fun 4-person scramble at your favorite course between Sept 10 - 26, 2021. Team members who are not current LPGA Amateurs members will receive a complimentary LPGA Amateurs Virtual Membership that is valid through the end of 2021! Please note that membership fees will be prorated in 2021, as we transition to a common renewal date.
