COVID-19 Update: League sign-ups are occurring now! Please visit our League page for more info.
Upcoming Events
League play begins the week of June 1!

If you missed league sign-up for the year but are interested in becoming a member and playing in one of our leagues, please reach out to us anyway. While you must become a member of LPGA-Amateurs to play in our leagues, you can play up to 2x at any league as a guest before that time to "try us out" before becoming a member. We encourage guests to play with us year-round at any one of our league courses. Contact the league chairwoman for more information on how to join us any week throughout the summer months.

We welcome golfers of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and have a variety of leagues to choose from. If you have any questions about our chapter leagues, click here

  • Board Members Desperately Needed

Ladies, as I mentioned at the Spring Kickoff back in April, we are in desperate need of new Board and Committee members or stand to potentially lose our chapter affiliation as we do not have enough Board members to run an official Board meeting and vote on important Chapter needs. In particular, we are in need of a Marketing Board member, but could also use an Activities Chairperson. Our Finance Chair has been graciously filled by newly retired, Linda Nila, who raised her hand to take over the position left vacated recently by Deb Dobson. We do not have enough woman-power to make this chapter run efficiently, so please consider volunteering for a Board or Committee position. If you need more information about any of the available positions and/or duties, please email me at president@lpgaamateursfcgb.com

Thanks in advance for your consideration!

  • Let's get golfing! League time has finally arrived.

It's finally here! Time to get golfing, ladies, and I'm sure I speak for all 62 of us when I say I couldn't be happier. We made it to the golfing season despite the best attempts of the coronavirus to thwart those efforts.

Of course, COVID-19 isn't that far away from us yet, so we still encourage our leagues and members to practice safety measures while out on the courses with each other and other golf participants on our courses to respect the needs of everyone. Beyond that, whether you get together to share some cocktails or food afterward is up to each league, and of course up to each individual. As a reminder, all players play at their own risk, and should review and adhere to local, state and government advisories.

Text us at 33222 to receive important information and notices from our Chapter all year long, but in the meantime, have a great time teeing off with old friends this week. We share your enthusiasm for the game of golf and the friendships we've built alongside the game. Have fun, be safe and hit 'em long and straight, friends!

Cheers to greener, brighter days ahead!

    LPGA-Amateurs of Wisconsin Chapters
Receive Award for Support of Women's Golflogo of Badger Mutual Amateur Golf Tournament

We are pleased to announce that our chapter, along with the other Wisconsin LPGA-Amateurs chapters in Madison, Milwaukee and the new Stateline chapter, will be presented with an Award of Excellence for our support of women's golf by the Badger Mutual Insurance Company who annually hosts an amateur women's golf competition at Brown Deer Golf Course in Milwaukee in July. If any of our members are interested in competing in this tournament, here's a link to the signup.

"I am a member of the Brown Deer Women's Golf Club here in Milwaukee. For the past 20 years our club has organized and run a statewide competitive tournament for amateur women, the Badger Mutual Insurance Women's Amateur. It is held at the Brown Deer golf course and this year's event will be held (hopefully) on July 27-28.

Our tournament closes with an Awards Luncheon for all golfers. At that time, in addition to flight winners and an overall champion, an Award for Excellence is presented to a person or organization who has done outstanding work in supporting and promoting women's golf. This year we are presenting the award to the LPGA Amateur Golf Association here in Wisconsin. The wonderful opportunities your organization offers women throughout Wisconsin truly makes an important and positive impact on women golfers."
