Details No, we did not forget about Spring Kickoff!!! Due to the COVID 19 Stay "Safer At Home" orders. we are in the process of creating a virtual spring kickoff event. If there's one thing COVID-19 can't stop, it's our enthusiasm for getting out and golfing and being able to connect and play with our LPGA Amateurs friends. So, the show will go on - webinar style! We invite you to join us for a fast-paced webinar on Saturday, April 18th, in your jammies (we won't be able to see you by the way!). Make yourself your favorite breakfast, grab your favorite weekend morning drink (coffee, Bloody Mary, Mimosa, whatever!), and pop open that laptop to hear what's in store for this upcoming season. Led by Co-President Patti Purcell (maybe in jammies?) with a lot of support from your Board, the webinar format provides us with a way to connect during these challenging times and demonstrate what it means to be a part of LPGA Amateurs and #DriveOn!

Welcome to Fox Cities_ Green Bay!

Chapter News and Announcements
  • Dreaming about Golf? Aren't we all...

Well, March went out like a lion for sure, bringing with it the angry roar of the COVID-19 virus, putting a damper on social events and possible delays in golfing this year with it.

But if we truly channel our inner #DriveOn, we know there's some things we can do to occupy ourselves, or should I say, ready ourselves, for greener days ahead. Here's a list of some ideas for us to work on in the month of April to get ready to start swinging in May:

    1) Watch webinars about golf. Find some great instructional videos or read up on the rules. We've all got extra time on our hands, after all!
    2) Start a regimen of golf exercises. From strengthening your core to swinging with a weighted golf club, there's a lot you can do in the month of April to get yourself "swing-ready" for the links.
    3) Practice your short shots outside. Chipping and pitching in the backyard is an approved, "social-distancing"-friendly activity.
    4) Join us at the Spring Kickoff webinar on April 18. Check out our event page for more info, but PJs & Mimosas will cheer you up and give you an overview of what's in store for the upcoming year!

Let's set our sights on golf, ladies. There's a light at the end of that COVID-19 tunnel, and while it may not be here as quickly as we'd like it to be, when it's all over, we'll have much to celebrate on the fairways together!

Cheers to greener, brighter days ahead!
