Chapter News

We are happy to announce that Michelle Selzler, our Events Co-Chair, has graciously agreed to step up as Interim President for the remainder of 2022.  Thank you, Michelle!

We are still searching for someone who is willing to raise their hand as a candidate for the 2023 role of President.  If you are interested in learning more about that role, please contact one of our board members.  You are welcome to sit in on any of our upcoming board meetings to see what it is all about.  We will be holding board elections this coming fall and would love to have a pool of candidates to choose from.

We need your help!

This chapter runs on volunteer support, and whether it's helping plan an event, pitching in an hour for clean-up at an event, monitoring social media, or recruiting sponsors, we have a spot that fits your skills and your schedule.

The committee chair roles (tasks within the roles) can be broken down into smaller tasks to share the work between 2 individuals. Grab your best fairway friend and raise your hands to volunteer together - divide and conquer!!!!
If you are willing to help, please contact Michelle Selzler for more information about the time commitment and process for becoming a committee chair member at 740-347-6495, or email us at chapter@lpgaamateursfcgb.com.

Available Chapter Positions:

President: Prepare board meeting materials, oversight and direction for the chapter; work with National on events and expectations; be the face of our Chapter. This is a key role, and your membership is free for the year you serve.

Communications Committee Chair: Prepare and send monthly (and ad-hoc) email communications using Constant Contact template, in addition to creating events in Eventbrite. Will need to work with all board members and committee chairs to get the content for these communications. Create and send text messages to our text club members using Textedly. Training will be provided on all of these things.

Marketing and Social Media Committee Chair: Work with board members and chapter chairs to identify marketing needs, and to execute all planned marketing. Tasks include but are not limited to: keep website updated (training provided), schedule social media posts (Facebook & Twitter), add creative to our constant contact emails and Eventbrite events (training provided on all these as well). Learn and understand LPGA Amateurs’ marketing and brand guidelines and make sure that our communications and any printed collateral are in compliance with these guidelines. As time permits interact with people through our social media accounts.

In lieu of having volunteers take on the full Chair responsibilities identified above, we would love to have volunteers “divide and conquer” some of the key responsibilities.  If you are hesitant to take on the full Chair role but are willing to take on any of the below individual tasks, please contact a board member.  Training for these tasks will be provided.  Volunteers are needed to:

  • Publish our monthly newsletter and other ad-hoc communications using Constant Contact
  • Create and send text messages to our text club members using Textedly
  • Keep our chapter website updated
  • Manage our social media posts - Facebook and Twitter

Please consider helping your chapter in any way you can and work closely with our fun board members!  We’d greatly appreciate your support!
