Pace of Play

Being a short hitter or having a high handicap isn’t the cause of slow play, what you do – or fail to do –between shots influences the pace of play more than the number of strokes you take.

Following these guidelines will keep things moving along smoothly, earning you the approval of the marshal and the gratitude of the group behind you.

Rules of Golf

You have taken lessons, practiced on the range, worked on chipping and putting. Let's add one other item on your preparation to play - LEARN THE RULES.

Learning the Rules of Golf can help you gain more confidence and potentially save some strokes. There will come a time in a round where the knowledge of rules will help you know how to play a water hazard, out of bounds, drop a ball or know when to take relief. Improve your game on a different level.

Use the USGA Rules of Golf Hub website to learn about rules, answer questions, read examples, watch videos, and even take quizzes!
