Join us for the LPGA Amateurs Pittsburgh - First Tee Pittsburgh Event

    Date: Saturday, May 24, 2025 - 9:00 a.m. - Noon

First Tee Pittsburgh - Schenley Park
    5370 Schenley Dr.
    Pittsburgh, PA 15217

This is a new type of event for our Pittsburgh Chapter. This is not about golf or about us. It is a day to give back to our community by mentoring a young person.

We will be playing golf with the young ladies (and maybe a young lad or two) who participate in the First Tee Pittsburgh (FTP) golf programs. While golfing, you will get the chance to talk to the FTP kids about life skills, growing through challenges, making good choices, how golf can be incorporated into many facets of life, etc. You will play either 9 holes of golf on the Bob O'Connor course (please note it is a walking course) with the older kids or the three hole loop (you may be able to play it more than once) with the younger kids. While we will try to accommodate your preference (9 holes or the 3-hole loop), your flexibility that day will be appreciated.

Whether or not you can attend this event, please try to:

    • Make a donation to FTP on their website firstteepittsburgh.org. In the Company Name section, please put LPGA Amateurs Pittsburgh
    • Donate new or used clubs, golf balls, shoes or golf apparel. If you are planning to attend this event, please bring your donations with you. If you cannot attend, please drop off items with your League Captain or contact Kelly McKenna to arrange for pickup of donations

     Registration starts at 8:00 a.m.

    Program starts at 9:00 a.m.

$30 fee per member ($50 per guest) includes:

    • Golf (again, this is a walking course. They have some pull carts available, but please bring your own pull cart if you have one)
    • Lunch

We will also be selling basket tickets and have a 50/50 drawing. All proceeds will benefit FTP.

We hope you can join us for this first time, unique event to help young ladies (or lads) learn life skills and about the game of golf.

Please note: This event will happen rain or shine. If we cannot play golf outside that day, indoor games and activities will be planned.
