About Us

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association® is a passionate, inclusive group of women made up of over 17,500+ members of all golf abilities throughout 130+ global chapters. This vibrant community connects women to learn, play and enjoy golf. We provide organized playing and learning opportunities for adults of all ages and abilities through a variety of local and national events. As a member, you are connected to thousands of other members globally and can get it all through LPGA Amateurs!

Established in 1999, the Long Island, NY chapter has over 500 members and is staffed entirely by volunteers. Our chapter offers golf opportunities to players of all abilities at various venues across Nassau and Suffolk counties, with 13 leagues and a competitive event, the Presidents Cup.  The Long Island, NY chapter celebrates the game of golf and each other at social and charitable events throughout the season hosting Tee Off, Women’s Golf Day, Play for Pink and our End of Season Awards Dinner. We work with local golf professionals to organize clinics where the focus is on fun, review of rules, etiquette, scoring, handicap. and improvement of the golf game. Our Tee Time and Scoring Captains encourage and mentor new and experienced golfers with a Welcome Letter at the beginning of each season, reminding all about our Handbook, USGA resources and references.  The LPGA Amateur Long Island website and monthly Newsletter keep everyone in the “round”, and introduces our new Board, communicates the calendar of Events, days and times of Leagues and Event registration and shares photographs and videos of the chapter’s season highlights.

We invite you to join us to play, to learn, to connect, to play, to belong, to network, and to volunteer to help support our chapter mission to advocate for positive change within the game.
