Golf Events Committee: Collaborate to develop and execute the Chapter’s schedule of weekend/Monday golf outings. Individuals are asked to select one or more events to manage—handling contracts and arrangements (tee times, food & beverage, etc.) with the golf course facilities, providing event information to Chapter Marketing for promotion, overseeing registrations, managing participant rosters and “hosting” the outing. Chapter Championship Committee. A sub-group of the Golf Events Committee, this team will assist the Chapter Championship Manager with planning and day-of aspects of a tournament round such as registration, on-course spotting, scoring, photography, and post-round awards program. overseeing registrations, managing participant rosters and “hosting” the outing. Weekend Play Committee. A sub-group of the Golf Events Committee, members of this team will schedule and manage the Chapter's Weekend Play dates throughout the year. (Weekend Play rounds are ad hoc playdates offered on weekends we don't have a scheduled Golf Event or other programming. Contact Golf Events Director Cheryl McGinnis.
League Management. Manage (or co-manage) weekly league play at one of our league courses during the golf season (day of week & months vary by location), including securing adequate number of tee times based on monthly registrations, communicating with league members and subs, tracking and reporting participation counts. League Managers work individually or in teams of two. Contact Golf Programs Director Mary Ann Robinson.
Education Committee. Collaborate to develop and execute the Chapter’s schedule of skills clinics, learning activities, seminars, etc. Individuals are asked to select one or more events/activities to manage—contracts/arrangements with providers and/or facilities, providing event information to Chapter Marketing for promotion, overseeing registrations, managing participant rosters and “hosting the event. Membership/Kickoff Committee. Collaborate to develop all aspects of our "season opener” held in April. Committee members select a location, develop the program agenda (theme, content, speaker, menu, gifts & prizes, etc.) and arrange golf. Contact Membership Director.
Membership/Golf Show Committee. Volunteers are needed for shifts at our Chapter booth at the Portland Golf Show, currently scheduled for March 1-3, 2024 at the Portland Expo Center. Contact Membership Director.
Social Committee. Collaborate to develop and execute social, networking, community-building events, opportunities and activities to connect and engage members throughout the year.. Contact Marketing Director Renae Bringman.
Marketing Committee: Collaborate to keep members informed and engaged, help create awareness of LPGA Ams PDX, and secure partners and sponsorship support that enhances the membership experience for all. The marketing team manages our tech platforms (website, email, registration, social media, etc.) and provides strategic communications support for all chapter initiatives. Finance Committee: Assist Finance Director with budget preparation/monitoring, monthly financial report preparation, and invoice/refund processing (through Golf Genius). Contact Finance Director John Chan.
Special Projects: Collaborate to develop solutions/improvements for Board-identified initiatives such as pace of play, new golfer assistance, operating efficiencies, etc. Sign up for this committee then choose to work on one of more of the current initiatives.
