Seeking a Women’s Golf Membership? Belonging to LPGA Amateurs provides you an instant golf community and the ability for you to build a great network of friends and business connections.

Questions? Email membership@lpgaamateurs.com or call 386-236-5353.

Whether it is 15 minutes a week, an hour once a month or an event once a year, volunteers are the backbone of LPGA Amateur Golf Association. Volunteering also connects you to other members—expanding your golf network. Contact Ali McKee, Member Services or Lisa Papes, President, with your questions, a description of your expertise or interest along with how much time you have to give. See below for ways to help:

Best Fairway Friends (BFFs): If you are looking for more golfing friends, why not serve as a golfing buddy for new members? You reach out and invite them to play with you on a course close by or at an LPGA Amateurs Dallas event. Buddies are usually assigned for geographic proximity.

TeeOff Brunch Party: Help with registration, staff a table for a committee, help set up the room.

Chapter Championship: We host a Championship Tournament at a local course. Help with registration or be a “pace of play” monitor on the course.

Sponsorship: Reach out to targeted local businesses to ask for support or maintain current relationship on behalf of the chapter.

Education: Doing outreach to golf professionals, staffing education events,

Golf Events: Take responsibility for one or more golf event during the year by notifying course of number of players, developing/distributing pairings, staffing registration and giving awards if appropriate.

Handicap: Do outreach calls to members without handicaps, answer member questions, assist in handicap education.

Leadership: Help identify members for Board and other volunteer positions.

Leagues: Help with match play, Lone Star Cup or coordinate a weekly league during a focused period of 6 to 8 weeks.

Membership: Make outreach calls to new members; distribute membership flyers to golf courses and at events, make follow-up calls to members whose membership is expiring.

Social: Contribute ideas, do outreach to venues, handle registration table at social event, greet members, have fun!

Lisa Papes – President

Lisa grew up primarily in Lincoln, Nebraska and golfed at, and graduated from, the University of Nebraska in 1987. She got to Texas as quickly as she could after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. Lisa considers herself an honorary Texan having now lived in DFW over half of her life and having a beautiful 22 year old daughter, Katie, who is a 7th generation Texan.

Lisa is a Managing Director with C-III Capital; a national commercial real estate fund management company and has been in the commercial real estate/banking industry for 30 years. Golf is her addiction! She started golfing when she was 12 or so and hasn't put down a club since. Lisa joined LPGA Amateur Golf Association two years ago after leaving the country club she belonged to and is so grateful for the wonderful golf experiences, friendships and memories that this organization has afforded her and looks forward to many more. She recognizes the significant voluntary involvement needed to make LPGA Amateurs Dallas so great and is looking forward to contributing as President.

Maribeth Fletcher – Finance & Records Director

Maribeth is from Minnesota originally, but has moved around throughout her working career to Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, and Kentucky. She has worked in a variety of roles in the plastics industry, including process engineer, technical service manager, marketing manager, global product manager, and business line controller. Maribeth recently retired and can now devote her energy to improving her handicap and serving on the LPGA Amateur Golf Association board.

When Maribeth returned to the DFW area in 2015, she was happy to find the LPGA Amateurs Dallas. She had been playing golf every week with girlfriends in Kentucky and was missing those fun times. The LPGA Women Who Play Girlfriend Golf at Luna Vista has helped to fill that gap. In addition, Maribeth has appreciated other opportunities to play golf in LPGA Amateur Golf Association events, meet some great ladies, and develop new friendships.

Patte Lee – Marketing Director

PatteLeePatte Lee has been involved with golf for "way more years than her handicap reflects". She helped to found the Charlotte, NC chapter of LPGA Women Who Play and belonged to the Atlanta, GA chapter before moving to Dallas and getting involved with the chapter here. She has met life-long friends in LPGA Amateurs Dallas and is thrilled that her parent company, Guardian Life Insurance Company has decided to be a national sponsor for LPGA Amateur Golf Association. In May of this year, she "tied the knot" with her husband Skip Lutz on the golf course (yep, she played in her dress and veil) at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco.

Patte has over 15 years of experience helping families create and preserve their wealth. Since approximately 80% of her clients are women, she is passionate about educating and empowering women to take control of their finances. In fact, she teaches a class in SMU's Continuing Education Program called "Financial Literacy for Women". In addition to obtaining the Certified Financial Planner credential (CFP®), she is also received training as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. Patte received her BBA from Howard University in Washington, DC and her MBA from Georgia State University.

Cindi Haugh – Golf Events Director

Cindi moved to Frisco in 2005 and joined LPGA Amateurs Golf Association in 2011. As the captain of Lone Star CUP and several LPGA Amateurs CUP teams, Cindi quickly learned that she loves competing in match play events. Cindi is honored to be serving as Golf Events Director and looks forward to working with the Board to provide fun, challenging and diverse events throughout the year.

Cindi provides management consulting services and technology solutions to for-profit and non-profit organizations in the health and human service industry – including behavioral health, disaster relief, community health, colleges/universities and public schools. Cindi earned her BA from University of California at San Diego and MA from New York University. Cindi enjoys mentoring students and introducing the next generation to the wonderful world of golf!

Chalanda Sherman – Golf Programs & Services Director

Chalanda is a proud mother of a fun loving, self-driven 22-year-old daughter and is married to her best friend. Currently the Vice President of a large landscape and construction firm who oversees 4 branches throughout Texas. Beginning her career in 2001 as an entry level employee, she has been an integral part in growing the once small company, Richmond & Associates Landscaping, into a landscape and construction powerhouse, currently ranked in the top 150 in the US.

As for golf, her true passion did not bloom until the end of 2017. She was introduced to the LPGA Amateurs at a scramble event in Fort Worth by one of her girlfriends whom actually owned clubs. She was overwhelmed upon arrival by all the ladies in attendance and their talents. Since then, she has formed many wonderful friendships, not just in the Dallas chapter but, throughout the country. She is continually working on improving her game and is excited to be volunteering as the Golf Programs & Services Director.

Cindy Schroeder – Member Recruitment Director

Cindy was born and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. She told her parents she would never milk another cow again at the age of 18 and off she went to Chicago. She learned to golf in her late 20’s but that came to an end after giving birth to 4 lovely children and working full time.

AT&T relocated Cindy to Dallas in 2015. She decided it was time to start golfing again, living in a state with a nice long golf season. A fellow employee led her to LPGA Amateurs. Cindy enjoys activities with friends; and after moving to Dallas and not knowing anyone, this organization has filled that need as well as getting back to the golf course. With the children out of college now, Cindy was able to retire from AT&T recently and devotes her time to working on her handicap, working out, volunteering, traveling, entertaining visiting friends and family and dedicating time to her new position on the board.

Ali McKee – Member Services Director

A native of New Orleans, Ali found her way to Dallas via Ft. Lauderdale in 2007 with playing golf being the furthest thing from her mind. After arriving in Dallas, her husband, Bill, who is a long-time golf enthusiast, decided playing golf together would be a lot of fun, so he purchased her a set of golf clubs. After several years of the clubs collecting dust, Ali decided to give it a try and took some lessons. Much to her surprise and pleasure, she discovered she really enjoyed the game. Ali has been playing golf for only a few years and is continually challenged with improving her game and naturally her handicap, too. For the past 12 years, Ali has worked for CMA in the community management industry, overseeing the day to day operations for a community in Grand Prairie.

Ali was introduced to the LPGA Amateurs in 2016. Happily, her network of women playing golf grew exponentially since then. She recently decided to step outside the box and offer to volunteer in the organization and was appointed Membership Director. She looks forward to assisting with increasing membership for the chapter.

Sherry Taylor – Communications Director

Sherry Taylor

Sherry is a Cubs fan from Chicago that is probably the only person from up North that does not like the famous deep dish pizza. She is a Creative that loves learning new trends, programs and technologies in the graphic design field. Also, Sherry creates custom pet paintings in watercolors. After attending the American Academy of Art and Columbia College in Chicago, she moved to Kalamazoo Michigan for three years where she got a taste of playing golf even though the golf season in Michigan is only about three weeks long!

She played a few games of golf after moving to Dallas in 1994, but soon set it aside as couples dancing became a passion that took up most of her time. Dallas is THE mecca for couples dancing where one can find every style imaginable to dance seven nights a week. Her favorite is dancing Argentine Tango!

In 2011, Sherry decided to dust off the sticks and get back to her passion of golf. She loves this game that teaches her patience on and off the course. She joined LPGA Amateurs Dallas in 2016; and in May 2017, was appointed to the Communications Director position.

When you’re looking for an occasional round of informal golf, a little friendly competition or a chance to play regularly with other avid golfers, LPGA Amateurs Dallas provides those opportunities. And, with almost half of our members in key management positions, you'll find an ideal environment for networking with other business women in a friendly atmosphere.

Have you been thinking about learning golf? There are opportunities to go to clinics, too. All levels are welcome to join! For competition play, you are required to have a handicap. It is free using the LPGA Amateur Golf Association app.

Currently we have approximately 135 Active Members and a very active Board of Directors. Our board is comprised of diverse group of energetic women leaders including our President, six Directors, and fantastic supporting Committee Chairs and enthusiastic committee volunteers.

Typically during our golf season, monthly you'll find an opportunity for at least one Golf Event, two Golf Play Days, one Social Event, one Golf Education Event, and an evening weekly (usually two nights a week) 9-hole Girlfriend Golf Event.  We host our Kickoff Event in February, enjoy an exciting Match Play League, and participate in the Lone Star Cup Matches. In the Spring we participate in Lone Star Cup, which brings together all the Texas LPGA Amateur Golf Association Chapters for a Solheim Cup styled 2-day event which rotates yearly around the state of Texas at some very exciting golf destinations. We also participate in the LPGA Amateur Golf Association Cup Championship, typically help during the summer and fall.

We welcome guests considering membership in our chapter as well as visiting Members from other LPGA Amateur Golf Association chapters to join us at our events and activities. Check out our Upcoming Events list and feel free to contact us anytime!

We are always looking for volunteers to help out from working on the Board to helping out at one event.

LPGA Amateurs Dallas is a 501 c6 registered non-profit organization.

Golf Events
are organized play usually followed (or preceded) by a meal and rewards.  When registering for a golf event, the player chooses to participate in one of the formats offered for the specific date. Generally, golf events are for LPGA Amateur Golf Association members and their guests who are considering joining the Chapter. There are several events that are limited to members only. See "Guests" below.

Play Days are reserved tee times where members and their guests play during a specified time period at a local course. For Play Days, guests include women or men. Players and guests may register for either events or Play Days by selecting the appropriate link on the Events Calendar.

Register for Golf Events and Play Days by clicking on the event located in the events calendar. Once you click on the event, you will be able to RSVP, pay online where needed and provide any additional information requested of the Events Committee.

Guests are welcome to participate in up to two Golf Events*, Play Days or Girl Friend Golf outings. After the second visit, we encourage guests to formally join the LPGA Amateur Golf Association - Dallas.
*Guests are not able to play in the Chapter Championship. Only members with established handicaps are eligible to participate in this Event.

LPGA Amateur Golf Association respects members who are concerned about having their personal contact information appear online. There are a few options to have control of what appears:

The option of marking your record in the LPGA Amateurs database as "Do Not Publish Online" is available; however, it has negative consequences. If this is done to a member record, then the member is blocked from being able to login to the LPGA Amateurs Member Clubhouse and the Handicap Service. We do not recommend this option.

Some members go online and delete their mailing address, phone and email so that it won’t appear online. We definitely do not recommend this option as then there is no way to communicate with a member at all. This impacts our Chapter too, as the contact information won’t appear on the roster we receive each week.

The best option is for members to login to the Member Clubhouse (lpgaamateurs.com) and update the "Privacy Settings" under the "My Profile" tab. You can choose specifically which information you want to sho online, and to whom.
