What a fantastic day we had at the Chapter Championship at Pembroke Lakes Golf Club!

The course was beautifully maintained, the weather was great, and the competition was fierce. The field was divided into three flights. We had representation from two sister chapters as well, Palm Beach and Miami chapters! Suzie Poirier returned to us from Tennessee to defend her title. 

Our FTL Chapter Championship Winners and top prizes go to:

Overall LOW GROSS: Tia Toms with an amazing score of 81. Tia is from our sister chapter, Palm Beach. 

Overall LOW NET: Linda Davis with an incredible net score of 67. Her consistency and precision are admirable!

1st flight Low Gross: Susan Labriola with a score of 86

1st flight Low Net: Rona Rosenblatt with a score of 74 net.

2nd flight Low Gross: Angie Carroll with a score of 89

2nd flight Low Net: Cindy Ackerman with a score of 72 net.

3rd flight Low Gross: Jane Wheatley with a score of 98

3rd flight Low Net: Debbie Mekjian with a score of 77 net.

50/50 was won by Kathy Burke - she left early, so we spent it in the bar (JK)!

Our chapter had a BLAST celebrating St. Patrick's day with 60 members and their guests in festive costumes and  beautiful golf cart decorations at the  Colony West Championship Golf Course. Dinner party followed golf where the many prizes were distributed. Many many thanks to Kathy Beard and the  volunteers who made this event a great success!

First Flight: Team of Kathy Beard, Kathleen Burke, Suzie Poirer and Jane Wheatley won the first place prize with a 68 gross and 55 net score.  The second place went to the team ofBarbara Spinelli, Nancy Suto, Donna Currie, and Michelle Mehan with a 69 gross and 56 net score.

Second Flight: Team of Angie Niehoff, Linda Raybon, Jeannette Romeo and Wendy Montanero won the first place prize with gross 73 and net 54. The second place went to the team ofJoyce Belfour, Joan Vergara, Jayne Lee, and Susan Collins with a score of gross 73 and net 57

Co-ed Flight: Team of Euton Bucknor, Lisa Owen, Nicone Gordon and Karen Harris-Garcia won the first place prize with gross 76 and net 57.

Closest to the Pin:  Women handicap 20 and under prize went to Pam Elders, Women handicap 21 and over went to Susan Collins.  Patrick Schadler won in the men's category.

Longest Drive:  Annie Marchetti won the women's and Travis Fisher won the men's category.

12 members and their guests had a ball at the TopGolf Event at the Pompano Beach Top Golf on January 15th. Two hours of fun games, food, drink and friends! What else can you ask for?  TopGolf is a great place to get your golf fix any time, especially when the weather doesn't permit outdoors golf. We should be doing more of this during the wet and humid summer days.

64 members and their guests participated in our annual Holiday Golf, held at the newly renovated Pompano Beach Pines course. Members in various holiday inspired customes had a great time playing scramble golf with many additional prizes like closest to the pin, and nearest to the line. After golf, we had a private dinner party at Galuppi's where many more prizes and raffle winnings were distributed. Many of our sponsors contributed to the raffle and few members came out of the event empty handed. The flight winners were:

Our annual Halloween themed Boos and Booze event was held on Oct  27 this year at the Oriole Golf Course. Many members wearing creative customs had fun in participating in this event. 

Ft. Lauderdale Chapter championship was held on Oct 20 at the Pembroke Lakes Golf Course. Suzie Poirier was the overall gross champion and Linda Davis was the overall net champion. Congratulations Suzie and Linda!
