Do I have to be a good golfer to join the LPGA Amateurs?

No, you do not have to be a good or experienced golfer to join any chapter of the LPGA Amateur Golf Assn. In fact, many of our members are beginning golfers who have improved since joining, and they remember what it was like to be a new golfer.

We recommend new golfers take lessons from a PGA or LPGA golf professional. A good program to start off with is Get Golf Ready.. See this LINK to learn more. If you are looking for a refresher lesson, pretty much any course in Broward County provides instructional programs. Just call their Pro Shop - prices vary. Or visit LPGAGOLF101 to find a Program or Golf Pro. 

Our chapter tries to provide a relaxed environment where women can learn to play golf without pressure, sometimes pairing new golfers with experienced players. We schedule league play at several different local courses covering a range of difficulty to help accommodate golfers of all skill levels.

WEEKDAYS & WEEKEND INSTRUCTION

Our PGA professional instructors and partners offer clinics for our FTL Chapter members at a discounted rate.  Please contact them directly for their schedules of group and private lessons. We occasionally promote special clinics on our website and newsletters as well. Pros also offer other programs, so contact them directly or through their course Pro Shop.
