It’s been an interesting season so far and a lot of flexibility has been required on everyone’s part – a big thanks to all. Our leagues got a later start than normal due to COVID-19 restrictions, but we were able to get 5 leagues up and running. We’ve had some hot weather, but it seems like it’s not quite as rainy as last summer was which helps with all our events. Due to extreme heat, we rescheduled our popular charity outing for Play 4 Pink and it will now be held on Saturday, October 17th. This is the 2nd year in a row this has happened, so I anticipate we will schedule this in cooler weather starting next year. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so it works out perfectly, really.
Speaking of events, we’ve done a few “pop-up events” this year. These events were not originally listed on our website. Our Match Play League (which was cancelled) normally plays 4-5 times a season at various courses. Since we had reserved 3 sets of tee times for these league matches, we’ve been able to convert them to outings. We’ve done this twice so far – at The Meadows and at Rutgers – and plan at least 1 more at Royce Brook.
There are still a few months left to our season so get out there as often as you can and stay safe!
