A Message from our Chapter President:

Our season is halfway done with members enjoying all the chapter has to offer!  Our weekend outings have been well attended.   During the month of June, we journeyed to Cream Ridge, Union and Ringoes, playing on 3 great courses!  Our outing at Heron Glen Golf Club in Ringoes was our first joint outing with the Philadelphia chapter and hopefully the start of a new tradition.   Our league players have had a few weather challenges but still have had many opportunities for fun evenings.

There are still many activities to enjoy as we enter the “dog days of summer”.  Check out the outings schedule under the “Events” dropdown for photos of past events and to see what is coming soon!   One event we all look forward to is September’s Play for Pink which will be at the newly renovated Hopewell Valley Golf Club scheduled to reopen in late August!

As a member, take advantage of discounts that are offered through our national office from national and regional retailers – you have free admission to any LPGA professional events as well.  There are 2 tournaments in NJ this year - the Shoprite Classic outside of Atlantic City, and the Founders Cup in West Caldwell.  The national website, www.lpgaamateurs.com, is the place to find details on our member benefits.

Volunteers are what make this organization successful.  We welcome members who want to help keep our chapter running.   Events, Communications, Memberships – all 3 of these areas could use additional help. Please select the volunteer signup link below for information on signing up to assist.

Enjoy all the chapter, and LPGA Amateurs, has to offer and have a great golf season!

Chapter News and Announcements
  • Click here to view our latest newsletter, June 2021
  • On May 15th, chapter members enjoyed a Match Play event with members of the Westchester chapter.   After some brief showers golfers enjoyed the challenge of the Berkshire Valley Golf Club.

May 22nd was a steamy Saturday at Quail Brook Golf course.  Golfers were challenged by the tight hilly back nine on a summerlike afternoon.

  • Our Virtual Tee-Off was held on March 20th.   Participants learned how to get in shape for the golf season with physical trainer Toni Visco ( one of our chapter members) providing some excellent videos to use to limber up before playing.   Christina Thompson of Golf4Her gave us a glimpse of the latest golf fashions.   President, Donna Beland, and Director of Golf Programs, Diane Peterson, provided an overview of events, clinics and leagues the chapter has planned for the 2021 season.  The session ended with 5 lucky members winning some great prizes!   Tee-Off goodie bags were mailed to all registrants after the event.

Sue Stager provided a comprehensive overview of the Rules Of Golf during a ZOOM session on March 25th.  Participants were able to ask questions regarding penalties, marking balls on the green and many others.  Sue certainly displayed her vast knowledge of the rules and we thank her for sharing her knowledge and perspective.
