Central NJ Chapter
Upcoming Events
Hello Members,

So, finally some good news!   As of May 2
nd, golf courses in New Jersey reopened!   There are many restrictions, but at least an opportunity to begin resuming play.

The Board of the Central NJ Chapter is continually monitoring updated recommendations from our National office as well as the Governor’s office on COVID-19.   Please visit this website often for updates.

Based on current guidelines, we are cancelling all events planned for May.  Our rescheduled Tee-Off event at Knob Hill on June 20th will likely be cancelled and we are currently reviewing viability of holding golf events planned for late June.   We have also been in contact with the golf courses where our leagues were planned.  Several courses have determined that having league play this year will not be viable and so these leagues will be suspended for the 2020 season.  As updates are available we will be sending out email updates as qwell as posting updates to the website.

As you return to the play, please keep in mind the current guidelines regarding golf course operations as outlined on the COVID-19NJ.gov website:

  • Implementing electronic or telephone reservation and payment systems while still providing options for populations that do not have access to internet service or credit cards;
  • Extending tee times to sixteen minutes apart;
  • Limiting the use of golf carts to one person unless being shared by immediate family members, caretakers, household members, or romantic partners;
  • Requiring frequent, and after each use, sanitization of high-touch areas such as restroom facilities, range buckets, golf carts, and push carts; • Restricting the touching of golf holes and flags;
  • Closing golf center buildings, pro shops, and other buildings and amenities;
  • Removing bunker rakes and other furniture-like benches, water coolers, and ball washers from the course; • Discontinuing club and equipment rentals;
  • Prohibiting the use of caddies;
  • Limiting tee times to two players unless the foursome consists of immediate family, caretakers, household members or romantic partners; and
  • Requiring players to always maintain appropriate social distancing by remaining six feet apart from others.

Golf courses may impose additional restrictions as necessary to limit person-to-person interactions.

Stay safe and well.

Registration for our first event of the season on June 17 at Forsgate Country Club is now open.  Join us for a round of golf on the beautiful Banks Course!  See CHAPTER EVENTS  for the registration link

We are in discussion with all golf courses where we had organized leagues for the 2020 season.   Several of these courses have determined the current situation does not support offering league play.   These leagues will be suspended for this year.  Updates will be posted as available, see CHAPTER LEAGUES for updates.

  • 32 members attended this year's Post Holiday luncheon held at The Cranbury Inn. It was a great opportunity for members to catch up with one another as well as make some new acquaintances.
    After a chance to socialize and enjoy a lovely lunch, the highlight of the event took place, the White elephant gift exchange. As their number was called, attendees picked from a fully stocked gift table or. had the option to "steal" a gift that had already been opened. Several items were in demand including some bottles of wine, a golf mitt and Christmas towels. Everyone went home with a gift that replaced what they brought.....will we see some of the items at next year's exchange?
