A message from our Chapter President:

Hi everyone,

Well, it's been quite a season, hasn't it? This is definitely the most challenging golf season I've ever experienced and I'm sure all of you reading this will say the same.

It is a shame that we had to cancel our Tee Off and some of our clinics/events this spring, but it was critical in order to remain in compliance with the Governor's orders and to keep everyone safe. Thankfully golf turns out to be a good socially distancing sport, as I think it helped us all maintain some semblance of normalcy from early May on.

I'd like to thank everyone for their flexibility and understanding - as you might imagine, it's been a difficult season for our typical programming. I'd like to thank my board for helping to come up with creative solutions and suggestions in order for everyone to play at some point this year.

Here's hoping that we see continued improvement with COVID-19, and that you and your families remain safe and healthy through the upcoming winter months.

Sincerely,

Donna Beland

Note: A big THANK YOU to Donna for her leadership through a very difficult year.

    • Play for P.I.N.K.   Thank you to all that came out to play The Meadows in our charity event on October 17th, 2020. We were able to make a donation to the BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Fund) for $600. What started out as a chilly morning, ended up being a spectacular day with lots of sunshine and fall foliage. Congratulations to all our contest hole winners:

      Longest Drive: Marge Zietchick

Closest to the Pin: Sheila McShane

    • Final Putt.   The Final Putt event of the season was held at at Mountain View golf course on October 10, 2020. It was great! The weather was nice, the golf was fun (as usual), and the camaraderie was excellent. We played a scramble and the group of Gabrielle Salemi, Linda Ponterio, Alice Anselmo, and Janice Scarinzi won with an impressive low score of 72. The longest drive prize was won by Diane Peterson, and closet to the pin prize was won by Ann Mackey.
