Friday April 26th thru Sunday April 28th - Spokane Invitational

You won’t want to miss the first 3 day golf getaway of the year in the Chelan area of WA with our sisters from other PNW LPGA Amateur Chapters.

We'll start our weekend on Friday at the picturesque Highlander Golf Course in East Wenatchee with tee times starting at 1pm.  On Saturday we’ll tee it up at one of the gems of our state – Gamble Sands in Brewster.  Tee times will start at 10:30am  To round out our weekend on Sunday, we’ll play Atla Lake Golf Resort in Pateros with tee times starting at 10am.

Join us for all or part of the weekend...bring your friends and meet new friends from other chapters!

Most golfers will be staying in the Chelan area.  A few double queen rooms have been reserved at Lakeside Lodge and Suites for $109 night.  If you are interested in staying there, call 800.468.2781 and ask to take one of the rooms reserved under “LPGA”, ask for Amanda.

Sunday May 5th - 1st Weekend Fun Play - Capitol City, Olympia

Join us for our first Weekend Fun Play of the season.  Capitol City is renowned for its great spring time playability.  This is our first time as the LPGA- Amateurs playing at the course.  It will be a great opportunity to enjoy a championship course that plays to all levels.  This event is open to all, so take the opportunity to invite any south sound friends to join our group.  The 11:00 start time will give you time to get down there or meet up with friends for breakfast.

Saturday May 11th - Match Play Ladder/ Weekend Fun Play - Walter Hall Golf Course

As our first event on the North side, Walter Hall will make a great start to our Seattle Match Play Ladder.  But you don’t need to be in the match play ladder to play. Walter Hall has a great variety of different types of holes, the front nine has open fairways with rolling hills, while the back nine weaves around a creek.  Give Match Play a try- we will support you- or just come out for fun, Walter Hall never disappoints.

Chapter News and Announcements
  • Announcing our first golf clinic for 2019!

    Sunday, April 28 from 11am-1pm
    Learn fitness and swing techniques to help your golf game! Alex Dunlop and Matt Fonner, at PNW Golf Academy, along with fitness coach Dan Kleckner from Kutting Edge Fitness-Kirkland, will work with the class. This two-hour session includes: golf fitness techniques to use, swing analysis, plus 30-minutes with the Practice Simulator. The class is limited to 12 attendees and will be held.

  • Golf Handicap

    Some members may wish to carry a handicap provided by Golf Handicap and Information Network (GHIN). The LPGA Amateurs Seattle Chapter is a WSGA Member golf club and offers a GHIN handicap through the WSGA for an annual fee of $40. In addition to providing a handicap, this membership option also includes access to WSGA Championships, Casual Golf Days, Golf deals and events put on by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA).  "LPGA Amateur Golf Association" will be listed as your "home club." Membership and renewals typically take 10-14 days. To apply for GHIN, you may register and pay with a credit card online.

    If you are a new GHIN member, you will need at least six 18-hole equivalent scores to establish a handicap (9-hole rounds can be posted).

  • 2019 Birdies, Eagles, and Accomplishments

    New hashtags are here! We are excited to be adding a second one for 2019. 

    When you get a birdie, add #LPGAAmSeaBird19 to your post. 

    We also want to celebrate any accomplishment you are excited with in your game of golf (i.e. first time breaking 100; first par; dropping your handicap). Anything that you want to celebrate, add #LPGAAmSeaGolf19 to your post.   

    Remember to send the photo, with the date, golf course, hole #, and whether it’s a birdie, eagle, accomplishment, etc.

  • The Women on Par Scholarship Program has officially launched for 2019! This year we have narrowed our focus in order to have a more direct impact on our members and their family’s lives. We’re excited to announce we have changed the eligibility requirements to only LPGA Amateur members, daughters and granddaughters of members. Read more at this direct link:

  • New Chapter Sites have launched. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to launch their new Chapter sites!
  • The LPGA Women’s Network has launched their new podcast “Talk Birdie to Me.”  Hosted by former LPGA Tour player turned journalist Anya Alvarez, this podcast is the first of its kind and is dedicated to sharing conversations centered around women's golf and the issues you care about most.  Click here to listen to the first episode featuring Cheyenne Woods and Shasta Averyhardt who share their thoughts on diversity and representation in golf.
