For information about all upcoming events go to the EVENTS tab. There you will also find a list of weekly golf options under the CHAPTER LEAGUES drop-down.

Calling all Golfers!

You have been introduced to the new rules of golf…but what happens when you actually need to use them?

Are you interested in how to take relief from a cart path?  Do you ponder over what to do when your ball has gone out of bounds?  And what about standing on a sprinkler head?

Join us on Tuesday, July 2nd at Eagle Ridge Par Three for a hands on opportunity to learn from the pros and also practice these situations.  Yes … rules clinics explain, but this clinic gives you the chance to perform the tasks. Among the skills we will practice are:

  • How to use your longest club to take relief from a cart path
  • Where to drop the ball out of a penalty area and how to properly count the strokes
  • Relief from a man-made object
  • How to play a provisional ball
  • How to correctly drop a ball into a relief area
  • And much more!

When:  Tuesday, July 2nd  5:30 – 7:30 pm

Where:  Eagle Ridge Par Three – Off of Highway 195 at the  entrance to the Eagle Ridge Community

Cost:  Free to all members!  Just bring a can of food for Second Harvest Food Bank

Bring:  One club, two tees, and a golf ball!

Instructors:  Pat Campbell, USGA Rules Official will be on hand to help.  Each learning station will have someone from our Chapter to help you practice properly

Why:  We never have a chance to practice these skills.  This is your chance to practice and learn!

To register:  Email events.spokanelpgaamateurs@gmail.com

There will be some fun snacks and munchies to fill you up, compliments of our Sponsors.  Drinks are available at the course.

See you there!

  • The 2019 Spokane Inland Northwest Chapter Kick-off event is in the books.  It was a tremendous success with over 50 new and old members attending, plus a few guests!  The food was excellent and the Dessert Bar received rave reviews.  There is no better way to welcome Spring than mixed berry or strawberry shortcake with all the toppings.

We give shout out to all of our sponsors and donors for the successful raffle.  Many walked out with beautiful baskets and gifts including golf lessons, complimentary rounds, wine, some fun tickets to local events, and more.  Thank you all, for donating.

Alot of golf information was shared, and if it all felt a little overwhelming, there is another opportunity to learn at the Member Meet Member Breakfast on Saturday, April 20th.  Bring your questions and we will try to answer them all!

In the meantime, here are a couple of pictures from Thursday’s event.
