I hope this message finds all of you in good health. As I write this on February 1st, the expected high temperature for today is 50 degrees. Similar to most of you, this fills me with anticipation that we may have early spring golf! As we wait for the day we can hit the links, grass hasn’t been growing under the feet of your volunteer board as they have been very busy planning and scheduling our numerous golf events. Soon we will be sharing with you what’s planned so you can update your calendar. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, you can stay up-to-date with what’s going in the world of women’s golf and the numerous benefits the LPGA Amateur Golf Association offers members through the corporate newsletter, The Front Nine, which arrives via email. The February 1st edition offers links to scholarship information, CardioGolf and Yoga for Golfers virtual sessions, membership renewal, and so much more. I signed up for CardioGolf so hope to see you virtually.
Speaking of membership, have you renewed for 2021? Don’t forget that all memberships now have a January 1st renewal date. Also, don’t forget to let all your friends, family, business associates, and other acquaintances know about the fun of playing with our group. We offer so many options: after work, Tuesday morning and Saturday golf. There is a “Member get a Member” contest at the moment with some great prizes! It started October 1st and runs through June 30th so check out the details in The Front Nine.
That’s it for now but keep your fingers crossed for early spring golf as we are excited to see all of you!
