Step 1: Join a Recognized Gold Association or Club
Before you can begin, make sure to find a recognized golf association or club to join such as our organization: LPGA Amateurs of Northern Nevada. A golf association or club is an essential step in getting a golf handicap.

Step 2: Join a Recognized Gold Association or Club
Once you’ve joined a recognized golf association or club, all you need to do is submit your golf scores and the system automatically established your handicap index.
Start by submitting your scores from the rounds you’ve played. These scores can be made up of any combination of 9-hole or 18-hole rounds. It’s best to record your scores on the day of your round. It’s imperative that you record ALL of your scores, good and bad to establish an accurate handicap.
Once you have played at least 54 holes, the “USGA GHIN” handicap system will determine your handicap by applying a formula.

Handicap cost and renewals:
The cost to establish your handicap is $37.00 per year through LPGA. Once you have signed up to establish a handicap, you will be given a GHIN number. This number will never change. Handicaps need to be renewed by March 31st of each year.
Golf Genius - GHIN Handicap Integration is Live!
We are excited to announce that the integration between our member database and Golf Genius now includes GHIN Handicap IDs. This means that members who have a GHIN Handicap can enter their Handicap ID in their Member Clubhouse profile and the ID will be added to their Golf Genius profile. This will make it easy to update Handicap Indexes for Golf Genius events and leagues.
Please note that members who currently have their GHIN Handicap ID in their member profile are not automatically included in the integration daily sync.
To activate the integration, a change must be made to the Member Clubhouse member profile under account and personal information.
Here are a few options:
