We are looking for 3-5 people to be a part of the Nominating Team. This year the open positions for election are President, Treasurer and Secretary. Upon the formation of the Nominating Team, a meeting will be set and details for their duties will be provided. Anyone interested should email lpgaamateursmilwaukee@gmail.com. Each volunteer will be contacted by 7/15/2023 and should contact the email before this time.

If possible, members on the Nominating Team should have served, past or present, in a significant Chapter volunteer/leader capacity. Any member who is running for office should not be on the Nominating Team. The role of the Nominating Committee is to:

  • Seek out and identify the best-qualified candidates for each of the available leadership positions
  • Issue a call for nominations for open positions to the members
  • Ensure the candidates understand and agree to the expectations before they serve on the Board of Directors
  • Evaluate each candidate to ensure they meet the qualifications and fit the best candidates to each position (written criteria established by the Chapter Board can assist in this evaluation)
  • Present a report of all qualified nominees to the Chapter Board for approval prior to submission to the membership for election
  • Count the ballots and submit the findings to the Chapter Board

The Nominating Team members must agree to and be assured that all team business including candidate discussions, comments, opinions and voting details is strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of the Nominating Team, including the Chapter Board. LPGA Amateur Golf Association Core Values and professionalism are called for at all times during the election process.
