  • 2025 U.S. Women's Open Volunteers


    LPGA Amateurs Marshal Volunteer Registration is now open!

    Be a part of golf history.  The 80th U.S. Women's Open will be held at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, WI, May 26 - June 1, 2025.

    LPGA Amateurs Milwaukee Chapter has agreed to Marshall a hole. 

    We will need 50 volunteers to staff the hole for the week.

     

    MARSHAL COMMITTEE PURPOSE:

    The marshals committee is responsible for managing the movement of players and spectators throughout Championship grounds. Volunteers are responsible for promoting physical safety and fair play, while maintaining an enjoyable environment for spectators of the Championship.

    Marshal Duties:

    • Shifts Required: Minimum of four (4) shifts lasting between four (4) – six (6) hours
    • Volunteers will receive a volunteer apparel package and championship credential good for the entire week (include logoed golf apparel, choice of headwear, a championship water bottle and volunteer pin)
    • It is up to the marshal to ensure that players are afforded a quiet and uninterrupted opportunity to
    • compete and move freely around the golf course.
    • Signal the gallery to be quiet as players address the ball.
    • Follow the path of each player’s ball and help spot stray balls to maintain proper pace of play.
    • Management of fan grandstands.
    • Provide marshal escorts as needed.

    • The cost to volunteer is $160

    • Fill in all the required fields (tip – home and mobile phone is required. You can list Mobile in both fields)
    • Committee Selection is (Marshal-LPGA Amateurs)
    • Security Code “LPGA” in all caps  (Then click the red button Check code)
    • Select which shifts you will be available (Shifts are 5-6 hours, if you select “All Day” it means you could work morning or afternoon, not that you will work all day)

  • 2024-2025 Board of Directors Nominations

    We are looking for NEW people to be a part of the LPGA Amateur Milwaukee Chapter Board Of Directors. This year the open positions for election are President, Treasurer, Sponsorship, Communications, and Secretary. Upon the formation of the Board of Directors Nominations, a meeting will be set and details for their duties will be provided. Anyone interested should email lpgaamateursmilwaukee@gmail.com. Each volunteer will be contacted ASAP keep in mind we are all volunteers.

    If possible, members on the Board of Directors Nominations are open to anyone who has served, past or present, in a significant Chapter volunteer/leader capacity or has experience being on a board position.

    The role of the Board of Directors is to:

    • Ensure you understand and agree to the expectations before you serve on the Board of Directors
    • Ensure you meet the qualifications and fit the best candidates for each position (written criteria established by the Chapter Board can assist in this evaluation)
    • You are qualified as a nominee to the Chapter Board for approval before submission to the membership for election

    The new board of directors must agree to and be assured that all team business including candidate discussions, comments, opinions, and voting details is strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of the current chapter board members. LPGA Amateur Golf Association Core Values and professionalism are called for at all times during the election process.
