After 5 Networking Events

Our After 5 Networking series is designed to bring women together beyond the course in a relaxed, welcoming environment. These events are all about connection. No golf experience is needed and there is no pressure. Just an opportunity to meet new people, build relationships, and grow your personal and professional network within our community.

Open to both members and non-members, After 5 events are typically held at local, member-connected businesses and venues. Each gathering offers a casual setting to connect, catch up, and build meaningful relationships with other women in the Milwaukee area.

Additional Details for those that simply must know...

    Handicapping

Individual handicaps will be used to in order to provide for a net score on each hole.  Players record their gross score on each hole played.  Computerized scoring with determine the best net score for the 2-person team, which is the lower net score as the team score for the hole.

For the holes played in a scramble or alternate shot format, the average of the two teammates' handicaps will be used by the computerized scoring to determine the number of strokes the team receives on each hole.

All information and details regarding scoring will be provided on the scorecards enabling you to simply write down your gross score on each hole and turn in your scorecard.  The computerized scoring will perform all the calculations.

    Tournament Format

We will use a combination format (much like a Solheim or Ryder cup competition) that should provide both fun and challenge.  Each format will be played for 6 holes.

    Best Ball

Each player on the team plays his or her own golf ball throughout the 6 holes, and on each hole the low net score -- or "best ball" -- of the two serves as the team score. Player A gets a 5, B gets a 4, then the team score for that hole is 4, because the low score of the group was B's 4.

    Scramble

In a scramble, each player on the two-person team tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and both players play their second shots from that spot. The better of the second shots is determined, then both play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.

    Alternate Shot

The 2-person team alternates hitting the same ball. Both players tee off, one of the drives is selected.  The second player hits the second shot, the first player hits the third shot, and so on until the ball is holed.  If your drive is selected on the first hole, then you must use your teammates drive on the next hole.

    Scoring

Each 2-person team will submit their scorecards at the end of their round.   The Badger Cup Trophy will be based on the average net scores for all participants for each chapter.  The Chapter with the lowest net average will be the Badger Cup Winner.

    Prizes

The coveted Badger Cup will be awarded to the Chapter that has the lowest average net score.  This Chapter will receive the traveling Badger Cup trophy and their Chapter Name and year will be emblazoned on the trophy for eternity.

Other prizes available for all participants to have a chance to win!
