  • April 14 - The Local Championship Qualifier (LCQ)   The 2019 tournament will be at historic Robert Trent Jones designed Arizona National Golf Club. Chapter members can participate in stroke play or on a four person scramble team. Registration is open.  Note: Registration Closes March 26  
  • March 31 - The LCQ Practice Round registration is open.  Click on Chapter Events to sign up.

  • The Cup is coming!!!!  Time to organize the 8 person team(s) for competition in this great event.  Read all about The Cup under the Events tab.  Registration opens June 3. 
  • Join chapter members and guests for the winter Dorado League! The league is in full swing and meets every Thursday at 3:00pm.  Ride for $20 or walk for $14.  Either way you will have a great time playing 9 holes.

  • New Look for our website – This month you will see a new look for our Chapter Website. Headquarters is upgrading the site and it will be streamlined and easier to navigate. Use the same login. 

     Membership Round UpMarch 16 We’re looking for new members! Membership Roundup has a new format. The event, at Arizona National Golf Club, includes lunch, golf clinic and fun 9-hole round. After lunch, our newest sponsor, Corey Baehman is holding a one-hour clinic followed by a 9 hole golf round, then drinks and awards at the 19th hole. Find a friend who wants to get into, get back to or get more time on the golf course. Register on the events tab before March 8.

    April 14 - Championship Season is here!! …And it starts with the Local Championship Qualifier (LCQ) on Sunday, April 14. The location for this year's qualifier (formerly known as Chapter Championship) is Arizona National Golf Club.  The $80 entry fee includes range balls, carts, green fees, lunch and prizes.   
    Registration will open by March 11 and closes on March 25.  There are two formats for competition: Individual Stroke Play and Scramble Team.  Click here to read more about the Championship Series including the tournament schedule, players documents and more. The practice round is March 31. The Championship Series is a benefit of your membership.  We encourage all chapter members to participate in this annual event.   

     Medallion & Ringer: Two play dates left The State Medallion Qualifier and Winter Ringer at San Ignacio has two play dates left: March 10 and March 23. Tee times start at 10 am. March 10 is your last opportunity to participate in either competition. Members are welcome to play a fun round. Guest are welcome, too.  Register the Tuesday before play.  

     Dorado League Join us each Thursday for our 9-hole winter league at Dorado Golf Course ($20 to ride, $14 to walk). The first tee time is at 3 pm and we often meet after for drinks and snacks. Contact Theresa Riel @   triel65@gmail.com 

    GHIN Handicap Service – Handicap service through AGA just got easier. Our chapter is now set up to allow online registration for new members. Register at here and click on Handicapping. Just in time, because starting January 1, 2020, the LPGA Amateurs handicap service will be discontinued. To join, contact our Handicap Chair, Sandi Rabrich at srabrich@gmail.com  

     LPGA Amateurs 2019 Rules Update Webinar The LPGA Amateurs Golf Department is hosting a 2019 Rules Update Webinar to provide members with information about the changes in the 2019 USGA golf rules.  All members are invited to attend this webinar and it will be recorded if members are unable to attend live. The webinar will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at 7:00pm EDT (6:00pm CDT, 5:00pm MDT and 4:00pm PDT). Register Here

  • New Chapter Sites have launched. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to launch their new Chapter sites!
  • The LPGA Women’s Network has launched their new podcast “Talk Birdie to Me.”  Hosted by former LPGA Tour player turned journalist Anya Alvarez, this podcast is the first of its kind and is dedicated to sharing conversations centered around women's golf and the issues you care about most.  Click here to listen to the first episode featuring Cheyenne Woods and Shasta Averyhardt who share their thoughts on diversity and representation in golf.

Get Rewarded for Participation and New Member Referrals

Once again, we will be tracking participation in LPGA Amateur Golf Association Tucson events and will award a prize to the person who participates in the most events in 2019  – fun events, ringers, competitions, leagues, social events, everything!  And the winner will be recognized at our Annual Business Dinner in November.

Also this year we will be giving a prize to the member that recruits the most new members this year. Make sure your new members says you referred her on the new member application. 

In line with LPGA Amateurs Chapters around the country, we're going to broaden our outreach, publicize our events more widely, and welcome guests at all events.  All levels of golfers who want to learn, play, and enjoy golf for business and fun are welcome to play at chapter events.  Your chapter hosts golf outings, social, and networking events throughout the year.  Chapter members are provided with the opportunity to participate in local, regional, and national championships and events.  Whether you’re a beginner taking your first lesson or an experienced lifelong golfer, you’ll find a warm welcome from our members.
