2021 Golf School at To The Tee Golf Academy with Mary Beth Kohberger

Despite the chilly weather, a great day of of golf, learning and fun was experienced by attendees of our 2021 Golf School! Mary Beth Kohberger was a fantastic and thorough instructor, covering all aspects of the game, including mental, in the 3 hour lesson. She gave equal attention to all of the participants, joining them on the course for nine holes, spending time with both foursomes and helping them practice what they had learned.

Mary Beth has more than 30 years of experience teaching students of all skills levels, and we hope to work with her again at future events.  Special thanks to Denise Gill and Fran Lapinski, who organized and coordinated this fantastic event.

Spring is around the corner and that means golf season is coming. Among other things, maybe it’s time to get a handicap. A handicap is one way to keep track of your progress, and there might be an event you want to play in that requires a handicap.

Our LPGA Amateurs Northern New Jersey Chapter offers two options for obtaining a handicap: GolfNet or GHIN (Golf Handicap Information Network).

GolfNet is included with your LPGA Amateur membership. GolfNet is good for all LPGA Amateurs events, but you might need GHIN for state tournaments. If you are an active member of the Northern NJ Chapter of the LPGA Amateurs and want to obtain a handicap through GolfNet, contact Handicap Chair Sue Stager.  She will activate your account and provide you with the info you need to begin posting your scores.

GHIN is a service offered by the USGA to regional golf associations, such as the New Jersey State GolfGHIN Association (NJSGA). Members of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the LPGA Amateurs can obtain or renew GHIN through our chapter. Having GHIN will register you with the NJSGA, making you eligible to participate in NJSGA tournaments and events.* The cost for this service is $31. To obtain, renew or transfer a GHIN account,  REGISTER HERE.

For additional information regarding GHIN check out the Handicap page on our website.

You must be an ACTIVE MEMBER of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the LPGA Amateurs to register for League Play and GHIN. Please click here and log into the Member Clubhouse to renew your membership for 2021.

A Positive Mindset for Better Golf - June 5th - June 9th

What if you could play golf free from negative thoughts, emotions and beliefs? How would a round of golf or a day in your life be if you didn’t worry about what other people think, or stress over not being good enough, or feeling tense about making a mistake? Imagine how you will feel at the end of every round of golf if you absolutely stayed in a positive mindset. If that is a goal you strive for we are pleased to share this unique opportunity from LPGA Professional Debbie O’Connell with you.

Debbie OConnellDebbie is offering an outstanding program called, “Keys to a Champion Mindset"  The cost of this program is just $97, and Debbie will generously donate a portion of that fee back to our chapter! The program includes:
• 7 1/2 hours of webinars (these will be recorded if you have to miss a session)
• 3 personalized one on one coaching calls
• A 40 minute strategy session with your master level coach
