Volunteer
Can you juggle?
The Hamilton Burlington Chapter is volunteer run by members dedicated to ensuring we have an excellent on-course experience.  A lot of planning goes into the year, and perhaps none more than the work of the League Manager.  This position is essential to booking courses for the year, and filling the spots through member sign-ups.  And this is where the juggling comes in.  It’s often a balancing act closer to game day when current League Manager Dora Lomax ensures all foursomes are filled through some last minute re-arranging of tee times as people cancel last minute. The courses appreciates it and so do we!

So who’s up for the challenge?  Dora will be stepping down this year, and if you are interested in this role, please reach out to President Deb Kucheran.  The League Manager is not a voting member of the board, and it is ideally suited to someone who can be responsive to messaging throughout the day.

Can you manage a budget?
We are actively looking to recruit a Chapter Treasurer.  As treasurer you will handle a small budget for the Chapter, and be one of three members of the Board along with the President and Secretary.  You will provide input on the Chapter’s activities as the Board plans for its annual season and associated events, clinics and tournaments.

The Treasurer must be comfortable with online banking and know their way around an Excel spreadsheet.  She will participate in monthly Board meetings, where collaboration and brainstorming are key skills.  Wrap it up with a passion for golf and understanding what LPGA Amateurs is all about and we’ve got a Treasurer!

Can you run a website?
Our website is maintained by a volunteer whose term ends this fall. One of the Chapter’s strengths is communicating with our members, and we are looking for a volunteer with experience in website content and social media management.  If this is you, we would love to have you join our team.  This role requires minimal time to do this.  Tasks include adding photos, event details and links to the website, and keeping social media content current.  Join the Communications Chair in keeping our members updated!
