A Message from Our President

Dear LPGA Amateurs Boston Members,

I wanted to let you know what we are doing regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and how it may impact our golf events. The safety of our members and communities is our priority.

  • We were saddened to cancel the 2020 Spring Kickoff Brunch event, but we know that was the right thing to do for our members and the community.
  • Our 2020 season events, league schedules, and educational clinics are all posted on our website, which you can access here. At this point we are assuming all events will go ahead as scheduled. We recognize this is a fluid situation and we will communicate as things change. Our cancellation and refund policies in general will still apply, however, we will issue refunds for any cancellations we need to make, or for any members that do not feel well or comfortable attending an event.
  • We continue to monitor guidance from the MA Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the LPGA. We will assess the safety and appropriateness of all of our events and will communicate any changes as they arise.
  • LPGA Amateurs offers some virtual ways to get you ready for the golf season. Check out this upcoming Member Webinar:
    • March 30 -Abundance Mindset (Presented by Debbie O'Connell, LPGA Professional and Owner at Golf Positive) Register Here
  • Many Massachusetts golf courses are open now or opening soon for the season, based on the great weather we've been having. Current guidance from the CDC suggests practicing social distancing (keeping approximately 6 feet of distance from other people). Playing golf may be just the thing to keep us from feeling too cooped up over the coming weeks.
    • You can monitor  Mass Golf for more info on local course openings and any impacts from COVID-19. You should check with any course before you arrive to confirm their latest status.
    • Read this article from for 7 rules to stay safe on the golf course. Remember to look for updated information from the CDC as you hit the links, as this guidance may change.
Please let me or any of our chapter board members know if you have any questions. I hope you stay well and that we'll see you all out on the golf courses soon.

Best wishes,

Tierney Chadwick
