2026 Leader Role Summaries
President: The leader of the chapter both internally and externally. The Chapter President must take the initiative to continually move the Chapter forward in the direction outlined by the Association. The President is familiar with and understands the strategic direction of the organization, and the Chapter and is responsible for communicating that vision to the members. The Chapter President is responsible for guiding the Chapter Board and all volunteers in delivering a complete LPGA Amateur Golf Association experience in their local area. The President leads the Board of Directors in identifying high-priority goals and ensures that each Board member fulfills their responsibilities. The President oversee the general Chapter operations.
Marketing/Communications Director: Responsible for marketing and communication programs. Marketing programs promote and support all chapter activities to members and the community. The Director oversees Chapter communications. The Director facilitates sponsorship opportunities and supports our chapter partners.
Golf Leagues Director: Creates and implements the Chapter’s golf leagues for the year. Developing a well-rounded league schedule that offers a variety of options to match interests, skill level, days, and times of the day that keeps current members engaged and has the potential to interest a variety of new members.
Clinics Director: Creates and implements the Chapter’s golf clinics for the year. Developing clinics that help members improve skills, knowledge, and techniques, allowing members to feel good about their game and enhance their enjoyment of the game. The Clinics Director should consider different facets of the game when developing the clinic schedule. Such consideration should include the timing, playing levels, variety of skills, and the type of lessons members desire. (Role is under review for the 2027/2028 term)
Membership Director: Manages and oversees member recruitment and activities. Develops the annual member welcome program as well as the new member onboarding event. The Membership Director partners with the Marketing and Communications Director for all membership promotional needs.
Event Director: Creates and implements the Chapter’s golf event programming for the year. Developing a well-rounded calendar of social and networking events that keeps current members engaged and has the potential to interest a variety of new members. The Events Director should consider Chapter demographics when developing the events schedule. Such consideration should include the timing, playing levels, and variety of events.
Finance and Records Director: This Director plays a vital role within our local chapter, responsible for managing both the records and financial aspects of the organization. This position is best served by someone with strong organizational, communication, and financial skills.
