MN Metro 2026 Chapter Board and Leadership Needs

Our chapter has determined we need four Board Directors on our Chapter Board, with two new Directors each year to maintain chapter continuity (minimum for LPGA Amateurs for our board model is three for the Chapter Board so we are seeking one over the minimum). 

Taking a Board Role is a great resume builder for those who are seeking to bolster their leadership profile on LinkedIn and/or Resume. It’s also a wonderful way to give back to the chapter!

Board Directors

  • Board Directors oversee planning, meetings, finances, policies, and are responsible for approving contracts and legal dealings for the chapter.
  • Key activities include: budget planning, planning for chapter activities, oversee all events, leagues memberships and marketing. Attendance and active participation in annual planning meeting (Q4) and virtual monthly board meetings throughout the entire season

Roles/Terms:

  • President: 2 years
    • Leads all meetings of the Board and oversees all chapter activities. Keeps the board informed of all chapter activities and signs and executes all chapter contracts.
  • Treasurer/Secretary: 2 years
    • Treasurer is responsible for overseeing/maintaining of all chapter funds and

      keeping full and accurate accounts of all money received and paid on account of the chapter.

    • Secretary records, distributes and preserves all chapter meeting minutes and oversees the membership records
  • Events Director: 2 years
    • Plans and oversees all chapter events, including the season opener, mid-season event, season closer and holiday volunteer event
  • Membership Chair: 2 years
    • Develop chapter membership initiatives and programs, new member recruitment/onboarding events and retention outreach and coordination
  • League Chair: 2 years
    • Plans and oversees golf leagues, communications, relations with golf courses and league captains, and payment procedures.

Committee Chairs & Members

Committee Chairs (alone or with a small team) manage specific programs for the chapter, including Marketing and our Mentor/Mentee Program.

  • Marketing Chair
    • Oversees chapter marketing efforts to create visibility for potential members
  • Mentor/Mentee Program
    • Oversees/manages coordination of new members with an existing chapter member
