Volunteer
Please Consider Volunteering for Open Positions
Our chapter depends on members who are willing to do more than participate—they help shape our future through leadership. Thank you to our many current volunteers who are making our chapter so successful. As we plan for the years ahead, we ask members to consider serving in leadership roles and contributing their ideas, experience, and commitment. By stepping forward, you can help ensure that our chapter remains strong, active, and sustainable for years to come.

Serving in a leadership role is an opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways. Members who step forward can help shape decisions, influence priorities, welcome new participants, and help maintain the energy and direction of the organization. Leadership service also offers personal benefits: the chance to build relationships, develop skills that help your career, and leave a lasting mark on our chapter.

We encourage every member to consider taking on a leadership role, whether in an elected position, on a committee, or in support of a specific initiative. We currently have a few positions on our board that need to be filled before the end of the year. All roles are also supported by our national organization and offer ongoing training.

> Treasurer/Secretary – Kristie will be moving to North Carolina this year. Basic skills needed - balancing your “checkbook” and basic excel.
> Vice President Elect – Join the board by the end of this year to prepare for the President role in January 2028.
> League Chair – Claudia has served in this role for 4 years and is ready to step down.
> Membership Chair – open now
> Marketing Chair – open now
> Director at Large – joining the board is a great way to learn more about our chapter and prepare for key roles

If you are interested in serving or would like to learn more about any of these roles, please contact a board member. We would be happy to answer questions about responsibilities, time commitment, and how you can get involved. We are very accommodating with time availability. Succession planning is critical for seamless transitions. Please consider volunteering for one of our open roles.
