On Saturday, 44 golfers gathered at Stow Acres Country Club to celebrate the life of Iris Davis at the Iris Cup 2019.  The weather was beautiful.  Sunny skies and warm temperatures started the day off right.  23 participated in a pre-round clinic hosted by Devin Bibeau - PGA Director of Instruction.  Participants worked on putting, chipping and full swing.

The golf tournament started with a shotgun start at 1:30 pm.  Golfers were divided into two teams, Team White and Team Purple.  Playing in a 2-person scramble format, participants worked to earn points for their team by winning holes, hitting fairways, longest drive and closest to the pin.  Dixon Golf ambassador Jen Faucon hosted the Dixon Par 3 challenge where participants could make a donation to try to win Dixon Earth golf balls.

After the round, participants enjoyed drinks, food, great conversation, and the opportunity to win prizes in drawings.  The big drawing prizes included Red Sox tickets, golf bag, a beautiful Iris quilt piece, a handmade Afghan blanket, Golf GPS, and many other great prizes.

The final score: Team Purple 106, Team White 137!  Congratulations to the members of Team White!  Winners received an etched wine glass with the event logo on it.
