Phase 1 registration for the 2024 LPGA Amateurs Scramble Open will open on Thursday, Feb 8 at 1:00pm EST and closes on Monday, Feb 12 at 11:59pm EST.  This popular event will be held on May 17-18 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA. Click here for more event details.

Reminder: all 2023 memberships expired on 12/31/23 and members have until 3/31/24 to renew at the regular rate before being charged the rejoin rate. Those who haven't renewed their membership are considered no longer current. Members must be current in their dues to register and participate in Association-wide and Chapter events, and to receive complimentary access to LPGA Tour Events.

Overview of the Amateur Golf Society of America (AGS) Women’s Division supported by the LPGA Amateur Golf Association:

1. The AGSA Women’s Division includes access to nearly 70 week-long Tour events in three markets (PA, NJ and DE), all of which are net competitions that include a separate women’s division.
   
2.  Members can tee it up at any/day or time during the week of the event at the host course, there is no requirement to play at a fixed day or time, or with a specific person(s)
   
   
3. AGS membership is a $75 annual fee, i.e., members can play in events in any Tour region, and there is no minimum commitment for members. Play in as many or as few events as you like and only pay the posted greens fees at your chosen events. 
   
   
4. All Tour members receive exclusive early access to the tee sheet for Tour events well in advance of the public. Golfers will be able to book any Tour event when registration opens in early Spring, ensuring opportunities will be available for any member to play at any event.
   
   
5. Tour members also receive discounts on tee times at many events, and their member kit includes perks and promotions from Tour sponsors and partners, valid only for Tour members. These benefits include discounts on local bars and restaurants, golf apparel and equipment manufacturers, golf travel opportunities and more.
   
   
6. Weekly and season-long prizes (including high-end packages like fully paid trips to the Caribbean) are available in each division, including all net flights, women’s and senior.
   
   

We want to give a huge shoutout to our Director of Events, Lynda Beam and the events committee for creating such an amazing kick off for the 2023 season. The Tee Off Luncheon was a day to remember, filled with fun and excitement, and it was great to see so many of our members there to start off the season.

The fashion show, hosted by Christina Thompson and her team from Golf 4 her, was a highlight of the event. Our amazing members volunteered to model some of the latest golf fashion trends, and they all looked fantastic! It was inspiring to see such a great turnout and support from our members.

We'd also like to extend a big thank you to our Eagle sponsor this year, Sioban Beere from Post Polak. Your generous support made this event possible, and we're grateful for your contribution to our Chapter.

In addition, we'd like to recognize our member vendors Ingrid Brase, IBSewing and Donna Sanclemente, The Beaded Realtor, as well as Hillary Spivak from Arbonne. Thank you for being part of our event and for showcasing your fantastic products. We appreciate your support and dedication to our Chapter.

Who: LPGA Amateurs Central Jersey Chapter members and guests Cost: $55 for members, $65 for non-members

Registration Deadline: March 24, 2023, at midnight

In addition to enjoying lunch and browsing vendor tables, attendees will also have the opportunity to hear about the upcoming events, leagues, and clinics planned by the Central NJ Chapter for 2023.

Members can also opt to play a 9-hole round following the luncheon, with tee times starting at 2:30. Walk fees are $33, plus an additional $9 for those who choose to ride in a cart, golf payable at the course. Please choose "Golf and Luncheon" at registration. space is limited.

Registration is limited to the first 65 attendees, so interested participants are encouraged to sign up before the deadline. Guests are also welcome to attend!

- We had a successful Play for P.I.N.K. outing on September 17^th at the Highbridge Hills Golf Club in Highbridge Hills.   Every year we play Pink Lady. Every team gets a pink ball and the foursome rotates the ball as each hole is played. The team that manages to hold on to the pink ball for all 18 holes wins the game. This year, the 1st place team was Elsie Ahrend, Diane Anderson, Sue Stager, and Sheila McShane. The 2nd place team was Sue Roberts, Jennifer Taddeo, and Darlene Robinson.  Diane Anderson won longest drive, and Lori Dolnick won closest to the pin. The chapter was able to raise $800 for BCRF through registration fees and bidding on 3 prizes. Ingrid Brase made a lovely seat cover, Donna Beland donated a Visa gift card, and the course donated a foursome that we raffled off.  Thanks to Sue Roberts for putting this outing together, and to the Play 4 Pink Foundation for donating the team prizes.

- We concluded our season with the FINAL PUTT outing and luncheon at the Hopewell Valley Golf Club in Hopewell on October 15^th.  36 chapter members enjoyed a pre-round breakfast, golf and the awards and recognition luncheon afterwards.   It was a beautiful fall day and the 9 scramble teams enjoyed the fall colors and each other’s company.   Congratulations to the day’s golf contest winners:  the first-place scramble team of Siobhan Beere, Sheila McShane, Maya Murthy and Marge Zietchick, longest drive: Dot Garrihy and closest to the pin: Doris Rudnick.   President Donna Beland also recognized the volunteers who helped make the 2022 season such a success.   She was also recognized for her contributions to the chapter both as Events Director and President.

- Congratulations to our Match Play team, the Scramblers!  This year our chapter had two teams compete in the Cup Qualifier, that was held in Clifton, VA at the Twin Lakes Golf Course in September: The Scramblers and the Back 9 Bandits. It was a fun filled weekend playing golf and meeting new women from different Chapters. The Scramblers will be playing in the National Championship – The Cup Finals, which will be held at the Horseshoe Bay Resort, in Horseshoe Bay TX, near Ausitin TX, on 10/29 and 10/30.  Scrambler team members are: Donna Beland, Nancy Schirilo, Diane Peterson, Capt; Tia Toms, Sue Stager, Spring Taylor, Lynn Jewell and Annette Owens.  

- Congratulations to our 2023 Board of Directors:  President Jennifer Taddeo, Treasurer Diane Anderson, Director of Marketing Julie Bannon, Secretary Theresa Petras, Director of Membership Karen Ostaricki and Director of Events Alexis Walling.
