  • 2026 Play for P.I.N.K. Outing - Aug 25, 2026

          This year's Play for Pink Outing, our chapter's highly popular charity outing was a huge success, featuring a 50-50 raffle to raise funds for breast cancer research, as well as various raffle prizes.
          The event took  place at one of Long Island's premier private golf facilities and  included 18 holes of golf with carts, and use of a practice putting green. Catering for the event was second to none and featured breakfast, and lunch. And a  wonderful day was had by all . .

    LPGA Amateurs Long Island Leagues make time during their league's tournament schedule to celebrate each other and Women's contributions to the game of golf.

    Women's Golf Day / Week May 28 - June 2, 2026, provides women the opportunity to empower one another through the game of golf, and is celebrated world-wide with events at every level of golf, from the 2026 US Women's Open to Major Championships and Collegiate events to LPGA Amateurs Chapter celebrations!

  • League Fee Increase - Jan 14, 2026
    Dear members,
    Since 2008 our league membership fee has remained unchanged, although our expenses every year have increased. In order to keep up with course, administrative fees, and operating costs, we find it necessary to increase the league fee to $75.00 to maintain and enhance your overall league and membership experience.

    The PLAY for P.I.N.K. event welcomed over 100 members and guests on August 18th at The Viineyards in Riverhead to compete for a great cause and prizes. . .  with successful funds raising of  $2,185

    The Red and Blue Teams showed up tournament ready, as they battled it out at The Rock Golf Club...
    for the 2nd Annual President's Cup and the Red Team prevailed to win and retain the Cup!

  • 2025 Nor'easter Classic - Jul 28, 2025
    An 18-hole scramble golf tournament with four person teams from the following chapters of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association: Fairfield County CT / Central Connecticut / New York City / Long Island / Westchester NY, Central New Jersey / Coastal New Jersey / Northern New Jersey 

    The LPGA Amateurs Long Island Chapter showed up at The Blackhawk Country Club with 3 teams:

    LI Tee Birds: Karen Dowd, Margaret Eaton, Cynthia Scudieri, Patricia Wilson


    Iron Maidens: Angela Demmer, Diann Starcke, Janine Zlotolow, Kathleen Dooley


    Storm Surge: Roseann Bencivinni, Sandra Hutchins, Sharon Kaler, Barbara Stahl


    And the winners were..

    Low Gross:
    Flight 1 Green Queens (NYC) Gross score of 67
    Flight 2 Par-fect Storm (Northern NJ) Gross score of 75

    Low Net:
    Flight 1 Iron Maidens (Long Island) Net score of 58

  • Play for P.I.N.K. Thank You - Feb 15, 2025
    Dear Play for P.I.N.K. family,

    We are thrilled to share that Play for P.I.N.K. recently presented the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) with our 2024 donation: $6.25 million!

    This is our largest annual contribution to BCRF, yet, bringing the cumulative total to over $85 million. We are thrilled to continue PFP’s success and increase last year’s donation by $500,000, allowing PFP to support additional research projects when annual grants are awarded by BCRF in October.

    This donation would not have been possible without each of you. Your dedication to our cause and passion for our mission is what makes PFP so successful. We are grateful for your commitment and thank you for supporting PFP during another incredible year.

    Sunday, October 20, 2024 LPGA  Amateur Long Island Volunteers appreciate each other, share memories of the 2024 season, and enjoy the fun time at Island's End Volunteer Appreciation Outing in Riverhead NY.
  • Topgolf Rise and Shine Event - Nov 5, 2024

    Sunday, October 27, 2024 Topgolf Rise and Shine Event found our LPGA  Amateur Long Island Members swinging at targets in Top Shot, Top Drive, Top Pressure and many more games, and their scores were automatically monitored by micro-chip technology. . . those scorecards never looked so good !
  • MGA/MetLife Women's 4 Ball Championship - Oct 19, 2024

    Representing the LPGA Amateur Golf Association - LI, Lorraine Vultaggio and Catherine Strick won the 39th MGA/MetLife Women's Four Ball Championship.  It was chilly!  A half-hour frost delay was called before play could begin October 15, 2024, at the Salem Golf Club in Old Salem, NY.  The pair won both low gross with a 6 over par 80 and low net with a 7 under par 67.  This win entitles Lorraine and Cathy to bypass qualification at the club level for 5 years, and allows the LPGA Amateur Golf Association-LI, to qualify a second pair to participate in next year's championship.
