Despite the soaking deluge that passed through Long Island the night before, our Play for PINK outing did take place at The Vineyards on Monday, August 19, although with a one and a half hour delay in starting time. The weather continue with a mix of sun, clouds with the occasional sprinkle, but 18 holes of golf was enjoyed by our 79 members and guests, followed by a wonderful buffet lunch.
At lunch, we held a raffle to benefit the BCRF (breast cancer research fund) and $2700 was raised and will be donated. Special thanks to Barbara Stahl for her tireless volunteer work during registration and selling the raffles.
