A Slow Resumption of Golfing Activities in June

GREAT NEWSWe will begin weekly organized golf outings starting June 6 at Pembroke Lakes with Golf Captain Maggie Tawil. We are in the process of booking the following two Saturdays, and have confirmed June 27th at Pompano Muni with Golf Captain Justine Youngleson. Check our GOLF & EVENTS CALENDAR above for frequent updates over the next few weeks. All members play at their own risk and should review and adhere to local, state and government advisories.

We will continue to follow the guidance of LPGA corporate as well as state, county and local authorities as we plan July-September events. We hope you are all well and getting through this current situation in the most positive way possible.

Deer Creek Country Club

For a complete list of restrictions, please go to the Deer Creek Country Club website HERE>>  Currently there is no organized play being planned, but you may go ahead and play privately with your friends. 40 of our members participated in this special chapter event benefiting the Food Pantry of Broward at the Palm Aire Oaks Golf Course. More than $800 in cash and a lot of food packages were raised for this very worthy charity. Karen Hord and Lale Divringi took a share of the 50-50 prize. The team of Madeliene Abling, Michelle Florea, Elsie Guzman and Vivian Krasner took first place in the competition and promptly donated their proceeds to the Food Pantry of Broward.

Our chapter was well represented with 16 members participating in this multi-chapter Match Play Competition held at Clewiston Golf Course. The event, organized by  LPGA Amateur Golf Association - Southwest Florida Chapter  was also attended by Palm Beach, Miami, Treasure Coast, and Manatee chapters in addition to our own. Congratulations to our member Nancy Board who won the longest drive contest, and to Kathy Nalven who took a share of the 50-50 prize money. This year was the first time participation for our chapter and we hope to make it a yearly event.
